Oh goody. I get to write the first post. Maybe that’s lucky that I get to tweet around here by myself for a short time.

First we get FREE webinars packed with loads of information, then we get FREE Twitter guide BUT, wahoo, access to the support area, normally for members, for the rest of the competition.

And they’re there to offer their support too. (I added the extra their in there just for Elizabeth E. Arthur)

Learning everything free including the Free Ultimate Twitter Guide is the best thing Sean has ever done for everyone here.

So lets make the most of the remaining 4 weeks or so here gratefully and open mindedly.

You may get to add the first post, but I am now going to get to have the joy of the webinar which you can’t because you already have :) :).

I look so forward to it because if anything has eluded me in this world of internet marketing it is the usefulness of Twitter.

I am going with an open mind to the webinar, but it will have to be one of Sean’s best to make me want to have anything to do with it.

See you on Twitter, I imagine.

I’m not one to hog anything for myself. There is no fun in that. You are going to have great joy (or had it if you didn’t read this first) listening to A Few Tweets More webinar.

Love to see you on Twitter, the more the merrier. Another one closer to one million followers. Having one million followers, hadn’t imagined that, but the concept of following one, who follows one, who follows ten etc I can see it happening.

Does tapping the keys furiously tweeting on twitter and all these other places count as exercise?

I was happy to get to see the webinar live! Recent crazy weeks & work hours mean I’m usually watching the recording at 4am a couple of days later… But better late than never, there’s always more to learn! ;)

I have to say I was amazed at the sheer volume of statistics you rattled off Sean – I had no idea of the numbers – with Twitter going from having 6 to 75 million users in 12 months, hitting 10 BILLION tweets in March, 28 million unique visitors in May alone, plus their memberships doubling after disasters like the Hudson air crash & Mumbai attack… It’s a staggering look at exponential growth in action!!

And the fact people are turning to Twitter & other social media as a primary independent news source is probably the biggest change in mainstream “control” in the last century – no wonder our governments want to try & filter/censor the net! ;) (Maybe Rupert M & co won’t have their own way forever..) Even our emergency agencies have run with it, (after the Victorian bushfires) trying to set up accurate alert systems feeding info via Twitter to warn of future problems.

Aside from all of the above, you can also have fun & do business at the same time!
I’ll definitely be checking out twitbacks.com to renew/customise my background & also go through some of the Twitter Directories. Great webinar Sean, cheers!! :)

Bernadette July 6, 2010 at 4:05 am

Last night I finally got my blog linked with a Follow Me button to Twitter.

It looked like you could have your posts like over to Twitter automatically is this was eluding me. I tried changing different settings and not workings. I knew it was right in front of me.

“Wahoo”, she says (jumping for joy this morning). I was too busy refreshing the page after numerous trying plus deleting the trial tweets and now realise what I had to do was refresh my eyes.

Hmmmm … wonder if it was the I am and goals meditation I listened to before going to sleep and refreshing my mind? [Big plug for Artemis Limpert]

Reply

Peter Damien Ryan July 6, 2010 at 6:59 am

The linking of blogs is great – it is a way of semi-automating tweets! Do one job – and the other is done for you.

I had not thought of that – but a few tweets more had me doing a few actions more – like look into the widgets and see how else I can improve my blogs so they are useful for visitors.

In other words, it has stopped me dithering with twitter and tweeting

Reply

Bernadette July 6, 2010 at 9:14 am

Just tweeted my post from yesterday. I too have made some more use of widgets by what I call the push button learning philosophy.

That’s how I taught myself how to do use the computer some moons ago. Push a button and if that didn’t work try another one – generally speaking.

Reply

Sean Rasmussen July 6, 2010 at 12:54 pm

So, what you’re saying is that you’re good at pushing buttons, Bernadette?

Reply

Bernadette July 6, 2010 at 6:06 pm

Hmmmmm …. I may have to be careful on how to answer that!!!

Bernadette July 6, 2010 at 6:24 pm

And semi-automating tweets will be a lot more time efficient than the manual version.

Reply

Mel Smith July 10, 2010 at 11:57 pm

It’s so great to have the automation between your blog & Twitter, Bernadette! :)
I only started using the “TwitterTools” plug-in on my blog a few months ago & it’s such a great way to auto-tweet blog posts!
Of course you can also reverse that process with TT & set your tweets to appear simultaniously as automated mini-posts, although I didn’t like the look of all the short tweet-posts clogging up my blog page & taking focus off the articles/posts, so I disabled that function & just left TT to send my posts out as auto-tweets!

And also having sites like http://www.sokule.com/index.html is just one of the other ways to auto-post DOZENS of social media sites at once, from a single post in your account! I love finding ways to free up time spent on the computer & get as automated as possible… There’s little point in being able to quit your J.O.B by making money online, only to become a computer-slave at home by not automating or outsourcing enough! ;)

Whether a Twitter or a Twotter, finding ways to free up time gets a big tick in my book. I’ve has a look at the home page but not registered yet. I’ve put on my to do list to keep on with the matter in hand. Well it’s a bit out of hand really and that’s why I have to stay on track.

I have a bit to do with extras for the blog so will crank it up then too. After people like to have plenty as good stuff to keep their attention and stay longer for more of a look round.

Reply

Mel Smith July 11, 2010 at 11:27 pm

Just like the Ultimate Twitter Guide, the Support Area of the YOTA Internet Marketing Forum that Sean has setup for the For A Few Dollars More competition has everything in one ‘room’.

The support area is awesome and I can definitely recommend that if you’re stuck at all.

Bernadette Hay July 12, 2010 at 2:26 am

I wonder what could be an easily misspelled keyword especially considering the close proximity of two particular letters on the keyboard?

Reply

Peter Damien Ryan July 12, 2010 at 8:24 am

Twat is a twotter?

You mentioning doing extras on your blogs reminded me of an idea I had before – we should all link our blogs – on the blogroll!

I started my blogroll yesterday – though I think there may be a limit – though I am not sure – but my UWC blogs dodn’t take up all my lonks etc that I tried to add.

Reply

Bernadette Hay July 12, 2010 at 9:05 am

I did that one on purpose. I was nearly going to explain in the message but thought I’d wait and see if anyone asked. I’m not surprised you have :-)

I read the post about misspelled keywords whether done intentional or not. The ‘i’ and the ‘o’ are beside each other on the keyboard, hence Twotter instead of Twitter.

I’m a bit ‘behinder’ with all these terms in the widgets and now you mention blogroll (I have seen it there). I have no idea how best to use it or it’s purpose but am keen to look and learn and use.

One thing that totally blew me away was your story about an emergency call coming through quicker by tweeting on Twitter than picking up the phone and calling 111.

The potential of Twitter looks pretty good.

I registered on Twitter a little bit back and have to say I think I just did a bit much of that self promoting thing – probably out of not really understanding how it works and how I could make it work for me.

A Few Tweets More certainly explained how and now I have an understanding of balance in there. More about getting their attention with something of interest than tweeting in their faces.

Got held up by a gas leak in the centre of Cairns so traffic was at a standstill. Anyway I digress. What I did hear was good and I would like to review it again.

Bernadette Hay July 11, 2010 at 2:30 pm

Thanks Jackie. I had a look in the widgets associated with the theme I have and I don’t see comment luv in there. I’m thinking it may be associated with the comment luv box that is at the bottom of the these blog pages.

It does have a tick in it on my page. However I registered in the competition with my main website (which isn’t a blog) and that is the one in that shows on the website line when I comment.

I tried changing the website line to my blog and then my comments wouldn’t show. I changed it back and just left it without the link to my last blog post.

Thank you,

This is awesome Sean. I will definitely see the bullhunter in twitter but right now I’m just cracking my head thinking what’s my twitter name going to be; @goatfucker or something (**laughs**).

The Ultimate Twitter Guide – For a Few Tweets more was an eye opener for me rather than turning the television on and waiting for Richard Reid to yell out on channel 7 his version of the hollywood minute (gossip). Certainly a good way to follow my favourite celebrities as well.

A great recording, and just realised how powefull Twitter is and loving the importance of social media. You can follow anything or anybody you want to and also get them to follow you. This is all about making yourself heard and hearing others!

Cheers

Can’t wait for the Ultimate Twitter Guide. I’ll have to watch over this a few times to really take Twitter on board as a serious tool and reach more followers. I do struggle to decide when to use twitter versus Facebook updates. I think it’s all part of the fun to gain the experience to know which one is more appropriate for the message!

Reply

Peter Damien Ryan July 7, 2010 at 7:58 am

You can link them too – a good idea in the face of indecision! FB is more about talk too I think and it is easier to follow what folks are saying

Reply

Bernadette July 7, 2010 at 9:08 am

I’d go with that to. Tweets seem to be more just a couple of words and a link (restriction of Twitter of course). I like to have a little bit more to determine whether it is of interest.

However I can see that’s the skill of Twitter – getting your message across effectively.

Reply

Sarah Butland July 6, 2010 at 9:40 pm

Now if only Twitter wasn’t “Over Capacity” I would be a tweeting fool. :)

That’s what I find frustrating about Twitter versus Facebook (among a few other things I won’t mention). Twitter is often at it’s peak and you’d think, with so many users, they’d get more servers to handle the capacity. I’ll keep going back to update my picture and hopefully get things moving along now that I know why it’s respected.

Reply

Peter Damien Ryan July 7, 2010 at 7:40 am

I imagine the huge rate of the increase in Tweeters keeps them busy! It is frustrating when the over capacity notice comes up – happened to me yesterday when I was trying to link some of Seans suggested twitter apps. But, hey, today is another day and I am sure I’ll get on.

The home page should be headed up Sean Rasmussen’s Year of the Affiliate Internet Marketing Forum and across along underneath you should see a row of signs for the zodiacs.

If you are not sure of whether it is the right place watch the recording of tonight’s webinar and on it you will be able to see what I’m referring to above.

If this is where you are the blue box at the top left should say Webvision2020 and over on the right it will say Welcome and then your login name

Look down the left hand side you will see Forum and under that For A Few Dollars More. The first link directly under that says Welcome Aboard.

This will open a page and the first link here is the one to download the Ultimate Twitter Guide.

I hope this explains it for you. If your page doesn’t look like I’ve described above then it sounds like you are on the wrong URL.

This the URL I use which allows me to login and get to where I have explained.

Then to the forum – where the Welcome aboard is – click that one and it takes you to the threads – the Ultimate Twitter Guide is in the first thread – just click it

Cheers guys for your help, and thanks Peter when I click your link it does take me to the home page. However, if I log in I get one page only and cannnot access anything else – my name does not come up as Bernadette mentioned and there is definetly nothing there with For a Few Dollars More.
I will contact Sean to see if I am logging in correctly.

I just repeated it using my link from above = took me to sign in, then straight to the forum – there are 4 sections: Welcome Aboard; Questions: Videos (?) and Webinars.
Have you scrolled down?
As you say contact Sean or the help on the forum and see what’s up.
