  1. Oh goody. I get to write the first post. Maybe that’s lucky that I get to tweet around here by myself for a short time.

First we get FREE webinars packed with loads of information, then we get FREE Twitter guide BUT, wahoo, access to the support area, normally for members, for the rest of the competition.

And they’re there to offer their support too. (I added the extra their in there just for Elizabeth E. Arthur)

  2. Bernadette

You may get to add the first post, but I am now going to get to have the joy of the webinar which you can’t because you already have :):).

I look so forward to it because if anything has eluded me in this world of internet marketing it is the usefulness of Twitter.

I am going with an open mind to the webinar, but it will have to be one of Sean’s best to make me want to have anything to do with it.

See you on Twitter, I imagine.

    • I’m not one to hog anything for myself. There is no fun in that. You are going to have great joy (or had it if you didn’t read this first) listening to A Few Tweets More webinar.

Love to see you on Twitter, the more the merrier. Another one closer to one million followers. Having one million followers, hadn’t imagined that, but the concept of following one, who follows one, who follows ten etc I can see it happening.

  3. The Twitter webinar has renewed my interest in being an active twitterer. Thanks Sean. I am also looking forward to eventually downloading the guide as per the advice during the live webinar.

I did experience a few interruptions with your voice during the webinar but, I don’t think I really missed anything.

I am looking forward to all the goodies that are to come!

    • Active twitterer – has this turned into an exercise club??

Does tapping the keys furiously tweeting on twitter and all these other places count as exercise?

  4. I use Twitter a lot. With my travel niche, the people behind the travel related companies are PR people, and they’re watching! I’ve managed to score a lot of opportunities via Twitter which have blown me away!

There are some other really useful Twitter resources

Tweet Reach – see how far your tweets are reaching

Twellow – The Twitter Yellow Pages. Find people to follow in many categories

Social Oomph – good for automation, eg, auto follow/unfollow, DMs

    Tweet Away!

  9. On top of everyting else this is a generous offer of the Ultimate Twitter Guide. I am sure I can refine my Ywitter usage a lot with it

  10. G’day Sean,
Really enjoyed today’s webinar on using Twitter. Quite an eye opener for me as I discovered parts I didn’t know about. This competition is excellent value even for we coaching clients as the different presentation you do for the competition makes it a bit easier to absorb, process and use.

    Many Thanks

From your comment the webinar about how to and the benefits of Twitter is no different.

  11. Hi Sean,

Fantastic webinar as usual. I’m really looking forward to the Ultimate Twitter Guide. I’m sure I’ll learn a few things that will help me take full advantage of Twitter.

I think opening a section of the forum is a great idea. I’m sure it’s going to be lots of fun. πŸ™‚

    • That’s going to be awesome for newbies like me to be helped in a different format.

I think it’s great you don’t feel like you’ll be looked down on asking a question to which the answer would be apparent to many.

    • Yes, that is a very generous thing to do. Typical of this Learn and Earn competition.
And, the Ultimate Guide To Twitter being made available is the cream on the cake. The whiskers on gravatar cat are twitching in anticipation and he is purring away contentedly.

      • I wondered because I did catch a strange glint in ‘your’ eye!

The Ultimate Twitter Guide may give me the opportunity to have my day in the SUN sooner rather than later.

        • Put your shades on – the SUN will be bright today as the Ultimate Twitter Guide arrives today! And, good day to you! Does that daze you?

          • I have no intention of putting my shades on. I don’t want to waste any of the warmth that embraces me as I work my way through the Ultimate Twitter Guide.

  12. I think I am over twittered, but I am going to learn to use it properly

    Hold on to you hats

  13. Hi Sean,
Thank you for very informative webiner as usual now am looking forward to getting “The Ultimate Twitter Guide” Well done YOTD

  15. I was happy to get to see the webinar live! Recent crazy weeks & work hours mean I’m usually watching the recording at 4am a couple of days later… But better late than never, there’s always more to learn! πŸ˜‰

I have to say I was amazed at the sheer volume of statistics you rattled off Sean – I had no idea of the numbers – with Twitter going from having 6 to 75 million users in 12 months, hitting 10 BILLION tweets in March, 28 million unique visitors in May alone, plus their memberships doubling after disasters like the Hudson air crash & Mumbai attack… It’s a staggering look at exponential growth in action!!

And the fact people are turning to Twitter & other social media as a primary independent news source is probably the biggest change in mainstream “control” in the last century – no wonder our governments want to try & filter/censor the net! πŸ˜‰ (Maybe Rupert M & co won’t have their own way forever..) Even our emergency agencies have run with it, (after the Victorian bushfires) trying to set up accurate alert systems feeding info via Twitter to warn of future problems.

Aside from all of the above, you can also have fun & do business at the same time!
I’ll definitely be checking out to renew/customise my background & also go through some of the Twitter Directories. Great webinar Sean, cheers!! πŸ™‚

  16. Last night I finally got my blog linked with a Follow Me button to Twitter.

It looked like you could have your posts like over to Twitter automatically is this was eluding me. I tried changing different settings and not workings. I knew it was right in front of me.

“Wahoo”, she says (jumping for joy this morning). I was too busy refreshing the page after numerous trying plus deleting the trial tweets and now realise what I had to do was refresh my eyes.

Hmmmm … wonder if it was the I am and goals meditation I listened to before going to sleep and refreshing my mind? [Big plug for Artemis Limpert]

    • The linking of blogs is great – it is a way of semi-automating tweets! Do one job – and the other is done for you.

I had not thought of that – but a few tweets more had me doing a few actions more – like look into the widgets and see how else I can improve my blogs so they are useful for visitors.

In other words, it has stopped me dithering with twitter and tweeting

    • It’s so great to have the automation between your blog & Twitter, Bernadette! πŸ™‚
I only started using the “TwitterTools” plug-in on my blog a few months ago & it’s such a great way to auto-tweet blog posts!
Of course you can also reverse that process with TT & set your tweets to appear simultaniously as automated mini-posts, although I didn’t like the look of all the short tweet-posts clogging up my blog page & taking focus off the articles/posts, so I disabled that function & just left TT to send my posts out as auto-tweets!

And also having sites like is just one of the other ways to auto-post DOZENS of social media sites at once, from a single post in your account! I love finding ways to free up time spent on the computer & get as automated as possible… There’s little point in being able to quit your J.O.B by making money online, only to become a computer-slave at home by not automating or outsourcing enough! πŸ˜‰
.-= Mel Smith´s last blog ..3 Ways Article Marketing Can Work for You =-.

      • Whether a Twitter or a Twotter, finding ways to free up time gets a big tick in my book. I’ve has a look at the home page but not registered yet. I’ve put on my to do list to keep on with the matter in hand. Well it’s a bit out of hand really and that’s why I have to stay on track.

I have a bit to do with extras for the blog so will crank it up then too. After people like to have plenty as good stuff to keep their attention and stay longer for more of a look round.

        • I know what you mean with keeping on track – or trying to!.. I’m only just catching up on the last few webinars Sean has done & just getting ready to sign up to the “For A Few Dollars More” Support Area of the YOTA Internet Marketing Forum, then finally download “The Ultimate Twitter Guide” from last week… So much info to go through! πŸ˜‰
.-= Mel Smith´s last blog ..3 Ways Article Marketing Can Work for You =-.

          • Just like the Ultimate Twitter Guide, the Support Area of the YOTA Internet Marketing Forum that Sean has setup for the For A Few Dollars More competition has everything in one ‘room’.

You won’t have to go searching through links to find the videos and webinars and there are a few extra as well.

The support area is awesome and I can definitely recommend that if you’re stuck at all.

        • I wonder what could be an easily misspelled keyword especially considering the close proximity of two particular letters on the keyboard?

        • Twat is a twotter?

You mentioning doing extras on your blogs reminded me of an idea I had before – we should all link our blogs – on the blogroll!

I started my blogroll yesterday – though I think there may be a limit – though I am not sure – but my UWC blogs dodn’t take up all my lonks etc that I tried to add.

          • I did that one on purpose. I was nearly going to explain in the message but thought I’d wait and see if anyone asked. I’m not surprised you have πŸ™‚

I read the post about misspelled keywords whether done intentional or not. The ‘i’ and the ‘o’ are beside each other on the keyboard, hence Twotter instead of Twitter.

I’m a bit ‘behinder’ with all these terms in the widgets and now you mention blogroll (I have seen it there). I have no idea how best to use it or it’s purpose but am keen to look and learn and use.

      • Thanks for mentioning the Twitter Tool plugin for Word Press. I just installed it and can’t wait to write another post to see how it works.

  17. Sean

One thing that totally blew me away was your story about an emergency call coming through quicker by tweeting on Twitter than picking up the phone and calling 111.

The world wide web does have some great bonuses but I am definitely having trouble getting my mind round that one. If I’d read it in a news story I might have thought it was a joke.

  18. Thanks for this twitter guide. I never really use twitter as I didn’t know the full potential of it. Plus when I go there it just seems everybody self promotes constantly. Must be following the wrong people. I am going to spend a few hours updating my page and working on it.
Also thanks for the ultimate twitter guide and congratulations for being in the top 10 twitters in Aussieland.

    • The potential of Twitter looks pretty good.

I registered on Twitter a little bit back and have to say I think I just did a bit much of that self promoting thing – probably out of not really understanding how it works and how I could make it work for me.

A Few Tweets More certainly explained how and now I have an understanding of balance in there. More about getting their attention with something of interest than tweeting in their faces.

  19. Great information about Twitter. I’m a newbie in this area and must admit I was wondering how to make the most of Twitter. Now I have a much better insight into how great Twitter is. Off to tweet now!

A excellent webinar. For me it’s the best so far.

I have been on twitter for a while but not really using it to it’s potential. A lot of great info on this one. I had looked at several guides in the past but never got over the fact of having to shell out cash for it. I am sure the Ultimate Twitter Guide will be awesome.

    • It is really hard not to feel frustrated under those circumstances but the more you think it, the more you will get it.

Good on you for keeping up with the challenge.

  25. Hello Sean,

Yippee I finally remembered to turn up for a webinar instead of having to hear the recorded version. Boy was I glad that I was on the net for the webinar “The Ultimate Twitter Guide – For A Few Tweets More.” – I can now understand how important Twitter is to connecting with other like minded people.

Before watching The Ultimate Twitter Guide – For A Few Tweets More I was not really that serious about Twitter, nor did I understand it’s importance but now I get it – Thanks Sean for making it easy to see how Twitter works.

  26. Thanks Sean, as usual a very informative webinar. Looking forward to grabbing a copy of ‘Ultimate Twitter Guide’. I joined Twitter quite some time ago, but have mostly been MIA due to the fact that I could not really grasp the concept. Now all that will change.
.-= Cheryl Griffin´s last blog ..How to maintain lasting profits from trading =-.

    • Just been reading lots of comments with a similar story, a comment from myself included – joined twitter but didn’t do much, too much of the wrong content, didn’t grasp the content.

It indicates how far reaching just this one webinar alone has been.

I know you can’t see it Sean (LOL) but I’m giving you a brainwave!

  27. Hi Sean,

Has the webinar been taken down? I can’t see it above, just a big white space where I would expect it to be. I missed the first ten minutes yesterday. Got held up by a gas leak in the centre of Cairns so traffic was at a standstill. Anyway I digress. What I did hear was good and I would like to review it again.

I have been on Twitter a few weeks now and still finding my way around who to follow (and more importantly to un-follow). Some people really push their products!

Looking forward to The Ultimate Twitter Guide and picking up any pearls of wisdom.

  28. Thank you, Sean. This was a great webinar, (as usual), with a lot of information that I didn’t have, even though I’ve been using Twitter for awhile now. I use it to announce new blog posts and when I’ve listed a new piece of jewelry in my Artfire or Zibbet studios. I also use it to promote other people’s products, or blogs and as a source of information. Now I have more tools to use with it and even more reasons to use it.

I am waiting impatiently for the Ultimate Twitter Guide that you have so generously made available for us. I am also grateful for the place you are making for us within your forum. I only hope I can “pass it on” as generously as you have given. You are truly an inspiration.
    .-= Elizabeth´s last blog ..Aquamarine =-.

    • Why not make a decision that you will pay it forward and even picture yourself doing so.

Those are amazing pieces of jewelery on your website.

Maybe you could teach me something? How do you make it so your name with last blog and the link appear underneath your post? And the little love heart in the speech bubble?

      • I am happy to help! For the last blog line, you put the web address of your blog in the website line under your name and email when you’re making a comment. As for the heart in the bubble, I think that is just a part of it. I didn’t do it. πŸ˜€

I had already made the decision to pay it forward. I know that the opportunity will come. I just don’t know when. πŸ˜€ My crystal ball needs a tune-up. lol
        .-= Elizabeth´s last blog ..Aquamarine =-.

        • Cheers Elizabeth. I had my main business website in there not my blog. So it should show up this time. At the bottom of one of the pages I noticed a tick box beside the little heart so that is probably what turns that on.

You may not always know when you’ve paid it forward. Just keep doing the great job you are and it will keep happening.
.-= Bernadette´s last blog ..APPRECIATION -amp GRATITUDE =-.

        • I’m not sure where my reply just went to. I’ve clicked the wrong button somewhere.

I had my main business website in that box and not my blog so hopefully it will show up this time.

You may even be paying it forward and not realise it. Keep up the great job and it will keep happening.

          • I’m pretty sure (although not completely) that you have to activate commentluv on your own blog for your last blog to appear. Its a widget. The little love heart is commentluvs symbol. Hope this helps. If that doesn’t work, this is the perfect question to ask in the forum.
.-= Jackie Stenhouse´s last blog ..Types of Child Anxiety Disorder =-.

          • Thanks Jackie. I had a look in the widgets associated with the theme I have and I don’t see comment luv in there. I’m thinking it may be associated with the comment luv box that is at the bottom of the these blog pages.

It does have a tick in it on my page. However I registered in the competition with my main website (which isn’t a blog) and that is the one in that shows on the website line when I comment.

I tried changing the website line to my blog and then my comments wouldn’t show. I changed it back and just left it without the link to my last blog post.

  29. Hi Sean,

Great Webinar it got the penny to drop on the value of social media. It is quite amazing to think how many people we may be able to reach with the compounding effect of retweeting.
Roll on Wednesday and the ‘Ultimate Twitter Guide’.

  30. Thank you,

This is awesome Sean. I will definitely see the bullhunter in twitter but right now I’m just cracking my head thinking what’s my twitter name going to be; @goatfucker or something (**laughs**).

The Ultimate Twitter Guide – For a Few Tweets more was an eye opener for me rather than turning the television on and waiting for Richard Reid to yell out on channel 7 his version of the hollywood minute (gossip). Certainly a good way to follow my favourite celebrities as well.

A great recording, and just realised how powefull Twitter is and loving the importance of social media. You can follow anything or anybody you want to and also get them to follow you. This is all about making yourself heard and hearing others!

  32. Just been looking at twitaholic and see it’s cool being the biggest twit!!!!! ROFL

  33. Can’t wait for the Ultimate Twitter Guide. I’ll have to watch over this a few times to really take Twitter on board as a serious tool and reach more followers. I do struggle to decide when to use twitter versus Facebook updates. I think it’s all part of the fun to gain the experience to know which one is more appropriate for the message!

    • You can link them too – a good idea in the face of indecision! FB is more about talk too I think and it is easier to follow what folks are saying

      • I’d go with that to. Tweets seem to be more just a couple of words and a link (restriction of Twitter of course). I like to have a little bit more to determine whether it is of interest.

However I can see that’s the skill of Twitter – getting your message across effectively.

  34. Now if only Twitter wasn’t “Over Capacity” I would be a tweeting fool. πŸ™‚

That’s what I find frustrating about Twitter versus Facebook (among a few other things I won’t mention). Twitter is often at it’s peak and you’d think, with so many users, they’d get more servers to handle the capacity. I’ll keep going back to update my picture and hopefully get things moving along now that I know why it’s respected.

    • I imagine the huge rate of the increase in Tweeters keeps them busy! It is frustrating when the over capacity notice comes up – happened to me yesterday when I was trying to link some of Seans suggested twitter apps. But, hey, today is another day and I am sure I’ll get on.

  35. Thanks Sean, the webinar was fantastic and I’ve been checking out a lot of the features and tips you ran through. It sounds like Year of the Dog has put in a tremendous effort to compile The Ultimate Twitter Guide – I can’t wait to get my hands on it!

  36. Dragging myself out of bed to watch the webinar “For A Few Tweets More” was well worth it . And after downloading and re-watching I’ve got to say it was just as good in the rerun. πŸ™‚

  42. Thanks for the tip Peter and I’d just like to share.

I having been registering in a few of these different applications and I got a little bit stuck when trying to get back into Digg. I went back and looked out the confirmation email. Phew!

Compile a list on paper or in an Excel spreadsheet of your login and passwords for these type of sites.

Of course common sense says don’t include bank logins and passwords unless of course you are going to email to me. LOL! NOT!

  43. In one day I’ve gone from 2 followers on Twitter to 2 with only 5 am them (that I’m aware of) are in the competition. That’s feel pretty exciting for me. Wahoo!

  44. Here’s an example of how to put off someone or in this case me.

The Free Twitter Guide, oh wow, this really is something for free. Downloading now – I hope. Having to go away tomorrow and don’t have a thumb drive but not to worry (as the Ozzies say). I shall find a way to read it. I’ll have my NEW HP notebook with me.

  51. Alan Power says:

    Thanks Sean,

That was certainly an eye opener on the full potential of Twitter. Apart from following Lance Armstrong on Twitter during the Tour Down Under I really didnt appreciate the power of this media.

As usual Your webinar was both enjoyable and thought provoking – Thanks again

  52. Goodness me, Sean,

Thanks for this video. I have just downloaded the ‘Ultimate Twitter Guide’ – more on that post.

I have to say I do have one ‘complaint’. (smile) This site is so populated with so very many interesting comments that I sometimes get so involved in reading them, that I have to review your own post a couple of times in order to make a valid, worthwhile comment.

  53. the free Twitter Guide, it was very nice to have this and it was very good hope.. and i will be here for tomorow and more… and now i will go to my twitter and do more now…

  54. Cathy Howitt says:

Where do we start…so much information.

But twitter is certainly the social tool right now.

I will twy and twy and twy to get my head around twitter.

I am really looking forward to downloading the Ultimate Twitter Guide.

    Thank you

    • The beginning is always the best place. I also usually play and practice as I go when working through a manual. Doesn’t seem as much overload and I find it easier to remember.

  55. Jean Follington says:

    Hi Sean,
What an amazing amount of information in this webinar, I joined Twitter a couple of weeks ago after you recommended it but I had not got a clue what I should be doing with it until now.

  56. Brenda McNutt says:

Tweet Tweet.. here’s one happy little chick now that I am better informed about what Tiwtter can do for internet marketers.
Next step to download “The Ultimate Twitter Guide”.
    Many thanks Sean.

  57. Dean REARDON says:

Well anything thing you say…. Pilgrim!

Put the wagons in a circle we’re pulling up camp here to see what he has to show us.

I will take first watch. We move out after Wednesday sundown. Til then we bunk down here.

  59. Brilliant webinar on a Few Tweets More! I never knew the massive opportunity that layed at my feet. One must now get set up with Twitter and tweet tweet tweet.

Am I too late to get the Ultimate Twitter Guide – I have gone into the forum but not able to find it anywhere? Due to birthdays and illnesses with kids it has taken me three days to watch the one webinar. Three opportunities to listen, learn and earn.

  60. Thanks Peter and Bernadette, it is getting late in NZ but I still can’t find it – I log in – using my affiliate name – go to home page, but there is no welcome aboard section. To be fair I can’t access much at all.
    More help please.
.-= Nateele´s last blog ..My Car vs My Body =-.

    • The home page should be headed up Sean Rasmussen’s Year of the Affiliate Internet Marketing Forum and across along underneath you should see a row of signs for the zodiacs.

If you are not sure of whether it is the right place watch the recording of tonight’s webinar and on it you will be able to see what I’m referring to above.

If this is where you are the blue box at the top left should say Webvision2020 and over on the right it will say Welcome and then your login name

Look down the left hand side you will see Forum and under that For A Few Dollars More. The first link directly under that says Welcome Aboard.

This will open a page and the first link here is the one to download the Ultimate Twitter Guide.

I hope this explains it for you. If your page doesn’t look like I’ve described above then it sounds like you are on the wrong URL.

This the URL I use which allows me to login and get to where I have explained.

    • Nateele, I just clicked on my link that I gave you above. It takes you to the login.
Then to the forum – where the Welcome aboard is – click that one and it takes you to the threads – the Ultimate Twitter Guide is in the first thread – just click it

      • Cheers guys for your help, and thanks Peter when I click your link it does take me to the home page. However, if I log in I get one page only and cannnot access anything else – my name does not come up as Bernadette mentioned and there is definetly nothing there with For a Few Dollars More.
I will contact Sean to see if I am logging in correctly.
.-= Nateele´s last blog ..My Car vs My Body =-.

        • That’s really strange Nateele as I went through the clicks to see if it all worked.
I just repeated it using my link from above = took me to sign in, then straight to the forum – there are 4 sections: Welcome Aboard; Questions: Videos (?) and Webinars.
          Have you scrolled down?
As you say contact Sean or the help on the forum and see what’s up.

    • It is good to have all your tips and pointers in one central location so they are at your finger tips and the Ultimate Twitter Guide gives us just that.

I haven’t worked through it all yet as there is heaps in it. Even handier to have it printed out for quicker referral. I like to do as I read but this is also handy for revision without having to open up a file.

      • That’s why I prefer e-books and such as they are easier to go back into and refresh the mind about something previously looked at.

And, it does mean that you can also use it as a checklist to mark off as the learning and application gets done

  65. Hi Sean,
I now have my Ultimate Twitter Guide. Lovely gift, thank-you Year Of The Dog for from the YOTA Forum, for it’s creation.

I’m now learning from the Essential Twitter Dictionary. Twitter calls the dictionary a Twdictionary. It holds a whole Twitter vocabulary. Example of one word is: Celebritweet ‐ A celebrity who uses Twitter.
