Internet Marketing In Vanuatu

by Sean Rasmussen on April 10, 2009

In less than 1 week, we will be doing internet marketing in Vanuatu. A handful of my students have been exclusively invited to come along for a private coaching session on social media in Port Vila, Vanuatu. Personally, I could not think of a more exotic place to play around with internet marketing, than an island in the South Pacific.

Port Vila, Vanuatu

We will be staying at a 5 star resort in Port Vila, Vanuatu with wireless broadband facilities and plenty of luxuries. Notice how I mention the broadband as a main feature? As an internet marketer and a social media addict, these facilities are a necessity. Now, I can sit around the pool and broadcast my thoughts to the world from my deckchair and casually sip my drink – non-alcoholic of course ;)

Scuba Diving Vanuatu

Prior to becoming a pro blogger and involved with internet marketing, I spent a part of my career as a Pearl Diver. Scuba diving was always a passion of mine and one of the best dive trips I ever made was to Vanuatu in 1996. I have dived in many places, including The Coral Sea between Cairns and Papua New Guinea. I’ve dived the 2 largest diveable shipwrecks in the world, including the Sanko Harvest in Esperance, but the most pleasurable experience was the WWII troop carrier: The SS President Coolidge in Vanuatu.

The SS President Coolidge

I had the pleasure of spending an entire week diving the wreck of The SS President Coolidge on the island of Espirito Santo in Vanuatu. This is in the far north of the Vanuatu island chain a long way from Port Vila. The SS President Coolidge is the largest divable shipwreck in the world and is 200m long, weighed 21,000 tons and carried 5,400 troops in WWII when it was sunk. Back then, Vanuatu was called The “New Hebrides” and was a joint colonisation by England and France. They didn’t see much war action but the Americans still managed to sink one of their own ships by steaming it through the wrong channel and hitting 2 of their own mines, hence sinking a massive troop carrier and creating arguably the best dive site in the world.

Social Media & Million Dollar Point

When I get to the Social Media session in Vanuatu, I will post a great story about Million Dollar Point; a divesite created during WWII that has a fascinating story. This is another fantastic experience I had diving in Vanuatu. I cannot wait to share this experience with you and I’m sure you will enjoy it.

Vanuatu Internet Marketing Session

This exclusive internet marketing session in Vanuatu is something I do to reward coaching students of the past 12 months. I want to thank you guys for rewarding me with your efforts and know you will be successful as full time internet marketers. Some of you already are successful marketers and others are well on the way. You know the internet has been good to me, it has been good to you and now the rewards are coming thick and fast. These Social Media sessions in Vanuatu (some around the pool) will cement our relationships even stronger and help you establish yourselves even further as professional internet marketers.

Now the time has come to join me on my Port Vila Vanuatu Holiday.

I will be back in touch in a few days from Sydney during a stop over for Smart Online Profit Systems. You will hear from me in the South Pacific in a place known in Pidgin English as “Ripablik Blong Vanuatu”. Stay tuned for updates from our session of Internet Marketing in Vanuatu.

Until then, have a most outstanding day

Life is about balance; most of us struggle with that Sean. By your blog you show us that it is possible.

I was just discussing with my husband. after dinner, success, how to get there and what pushes people on. An interesting discussion. One day soon, I hope that I will be able to inspire people the way you do because I have achieved my goals.

One important point about today and every day….living in “the now”. I was feeling the rays of the sun whilst gardening today and breathing in the world around me. It had a nostalgic and yet futuristic feeling I could not put my finger on. I started to think about the future but then was able to tell myself to enjoy what I was experiencing in “the now”. May you enjoy “the now” when you are pool side with people you admire nd inspire and enjoy their company. One day that will be me but for now, I am grateful for the lovely day I had today with my little children and the sun on my back.

“pursue your goals with certainty”

With regards, as always, Eileen.

Wow! If your photos are any indication, I would love to be there. It sounds like not only will be an excellent way to learn more about internet marketing but also a great way to enjoy yourself at the same time. Wish I could be there.

It’s true, isn’t it? With the vast array of blogs out there you never know what you’re going to end up reading when you stumble upon one. If people treat it like an online diary of their personal endeavours that help very few people the viewership should be kept to a minimum.

Like in education, good bloggers should be recognized for their work and possibly have to pay a small fee to be recognized as such. I do not, however, believe this fee should be increased with how good you are. :)

Hi Sean,
I am kind of jealous of those 12 students that went with you (any relations to 12 Zodiacs??? ;) ) . In case you will do something like that again – let me know your criteria list how you choose the lucky ones. Just in case I can push my participation along with the right actions :)

Exactly what I was thinking Renee! Although I wasn’t there, I have a strong hunch that the people who were, are helping us greatly now – 12 months down the track. I actually do know someone who went. And reports are that it was excellent.

Maybe we can convince Sean to pick the runner ups in the commenting competition – then we should have a good chance ;)

Hi Sean,

I love Renee and Lina’s comments. I know quite a few Internet Marketing who’d love to go on a ‘working’ holiday. It sounds like a lot of fun. :)
