Mindset Mastery 11 - When And Where Will I Find This Secret?

May 29th, 2008

Mindset Mastery EbookThe revelation of the secret happens at different points for different people. You may even have an indication of what this secret will entail. Napoleon Hill provides this dialogue in regards to the when and the how of the secret revealing itself to you.

“Somewhere, as you read, the secret to which I refer will jump from the page and stand boldly before you, if you are ready for it! When it appears, you will recognize it. Whether you receive the sign in the first or the last chapter, stop for a moment when it presents itself, and turn down a glass, for that occasion will mark the most important turning-point of your life.”

What it takes to succeed

What Napoleon Hill is telling you in Think and Grow Rich is that the secret is everywhere to be found in this book, even though it is never directly named. The key to success is there for the taking, you just have to be receptive to it. That’s really very much in line with all of successful wealth creation. When you are ready to learn and commit to creating wealth for yourself, you will find the resolve and the information you need to succeed.

The First Time I Thought To Grow Rich

I recall reading Think And Grow Rich for the first time in year 2000. I read through the entire book and never actually “got” what The Secret was! Although, at the time I wasn’t quite ready for the message, the book had a massive impact on me. This was also before Rhonda Byrne had super commercialized “The Secret”, based on Wallace Wattles book: The Science Of Getting Rich.

Actually, I have a version of Wallace Wattles book: The Science Of Getting Rich. Let me know if you’d like to download a free version. If I get enough comment in this blog (like LOTS!), then I’ll seriously consider finishing it off and making it available.

I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

Dr John Demartini

May 27th, 2008

My wife, Cherie, is currently at a 7 day seminar with Dr John Demartini in Sydney, Australia.

Cherie and Dr John Demartini

You Are Who You Associate With

Someone once told me (several times) that you are who you associate with. What they meant was this: Hang around poor people and you develop a poor mindset. Hang around rich people and develop a rich mindset. The same applies to success, self improvement and peak performance.

So when you hang around for 7 days with Dr John Demartini, chances are his ideas are going to rub off on you. To someone who likes his ideas that is a good thing! I for one, am one of those.

Healthy body, healthy mind, right? Yes, indeed! And the opposite applies too!

Honey, I’m Off To Sydney For 7 Days - Do You Mind?

My initial reaction when Cherie said she’d like to go to the seminar was “Jubilant”. I agree with a lot of Demartini’s teachings. To have my wife there and learn from John, to me, is pure Gold! As much as I’d like to be there myself, well, let’s just say someone had to stay home and look after the kids (and blogs). My turn will come very soon and I am a great believer in crashing out of your comfortzone for maximum achievable growth. Taking me along would only make it more comfortable for her and that means less growth.

Besides! Who would post this story to you if I was galavanting across the country to seminars… ;)

One Defining Moment

Last year, I had one defining moment that really stood out in my mind. I was listening to “The Secret” 4 hour soundtrack with Rhonda Byrne (for the 13th time probably). Dr John Demartini said:

When the voice and the vision, on the inside, is more clear, more loud and more profound, than the opinions on the outside, then you have truly mastered your life” - Dr John F Demartini

That statement really means something! If you don’t get it - Read it again and again until you do get it. I listened to it over and over until it was burned into my subconscious forever. It is Gold!

If you have been to a Demartini seminar before, I’d like to hear from you in the comments section below.

Have a most outstanding day!

When is “Now” going to be the right time?

March 25th, 2008

Carpe Diem - “Seize The Day“.  When is the right time to build your mindset and motivational powers?  Hey! I’m making it sound like a super natural ability of a Marvel Comics Super Hero… but then again, isn’t it a bit of a super ability to have? Everyone wants it, right? Yet the ones who (say they) don’t need the mindset are the ones that already have it. So that’s why they are already so successful in life, across the board, aren’t they! Pardon the the sarcasm :)

When to start building your super abilities

Take action nowNOW! When is ”Now” going to be the right time to take action? Tomorrow? Well, sorry to break the news to you. Tomorrow is not “now”. There is only one “now” and that is the present. Tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow will always be “now” when you get there. What you put off untill tomorrow is a sure-fire way of telling your sub-conscious mind: “I Have No Intention Of Doing It At All“.  The only time to start is now.

Mindset building moments

We dont’ find a lot of spare time in our busy lifestyles. It seems that time is speeding up and there is less time in every day that passes. I could spinn off on a totally different tangent about time, but I wont (not this time).

Travel desinationsSo how do we fit it in? First of all, we have to have a burning desire to make it happen. Here’s what I do:

I fit it in when I am doing something out over the ordinary. In about 2 weeks, I’m driving a 4,600km roundtrip with my 2 sons to visit our family in South Australia. That’s approximately 46 hours of driving + breaks. What a great opportunity to invest some time in myself, whilst driving! There is some serious listening time I can utilize.

When is “Now” going to be the right time?

Now is the right time. Here’s what I’ll be doing on my 46 hour roundtrip:

  1. Learning basic French. It’s something I’ve meant to do for many years and have never started. Maybe I should have read my own article about five minutes to unlock your motivation. This time, the kids and I will be armed with audio CD’s with French Lessons.
  2. Supporting my kids dreams. A portable keyboard with speakers, will come along for the journey. My oldest son wants to be a concert pianist (beats being a traindriver, right?). There will be plenty of practice opportunity during the drive. I’ll also ensure I listen in at all times. After all, I want to support other’s dreams and goals.
  3. Listening to a mindset program. Last year I listened to Kurek Ashley, The Secret with Rhonda Byrne and a Public Speaking Course with Jamie McIntyre. I’ve got no idea which one to do this year. Any suggestions are welcome in the comments section below. Maybe Tony Robbins? It does however need to be kid friendly :)

OK. That’s what I’m up to. Needless to say, I have no excuse now. You can hold me accountable for taking action towards some of my dreams. Some of those dreams I have never actioned before! Isn’t it funny how we put things off and suddenly a lot of years have passed by?

One year ago, diarised

I posted these 2 posts in my Bullhunters Guide Blog (my first blog) almost one year ago. This will give you an idea what was going through my mind 11-12 months ago, setting out on the same trip to visit my mum and brother. Here are the links to the 2 posts:

  1. 1 week off every month with cashflow
  2. Bullhunter drives across the Nullarbor

Gone surfingEnjoy! I had a good laugh and recognise how much I was on the right track. I also now realise how much further down the path I’ve come in one year. It’s a fun journey of growth and self development.

Have a most outstanding day
