Napoleon Hill does not come directly out and name the secret to wealth creation in his book, and here he tells us why…
“The secret to which I refer has been mentioned no fewer than a hundred times, throughout this book. It has not been directly named, for it seems to work more successfully when it is merely uncovered and left in sight, where those who are ready, and searching for it, may pick it up. That is why Andrew Carnegie tossed it to me so quietly, without giving me its specific name.
“If you are ready to put it to use, you will recognize this secret at least once in every chapter. I wish I might feel privileged to tell you how you will know if you are ready, but that would deprive you of much of the benefit you will receive when you make the discovery in your own way.”
Your Path To The Secret
In fact, it might be best that Napoleon Hill does not put a name to this secret, because it might be called by many names by people from different cultures and backgrounds; it’s all semantics anyway, and if you grasp Hill’s point you’ll surely understand as well that the importance is more in understanding this secret thing and learning to apply it effectively in your own way, than in copying the path of another to the letter. Everyone’s path to successful wealth creation will be different; even in investing, no two paths are ever exactly the same. The key for educators of wealth creation like myself and Jamie McIntyre is to give students, such as yourself, the tools – tools that you can use for a lifetime of wealth creation, not a ‘get-rich-quick’ flash in the pan kind of windfall that won’t support you your whole life long.
I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

To reward the readers of Mindset Mastery, I have put together an initial 30 part series about the book. I will run through the eBook, week by week, and discuss the entirety of the classic writings of the legendary Napoleon Hill. Years of research was put into the original version by Napoleon Hill and this book is considered one of the original classic self improvement books written.
Mindset Mastery
Mindset Mastery is an updated and modernized version of the Napoleon Hill empowerment and wealth creation classic Think and Grow Rich. It is important for me that you appreciate the modernization of this classic. I have at no time attempted to detract from Napoleon Hill’s original message and have put in great efforts to keep everything relevant. You will find my tribute to Napoleon Hill in the intro of the Mindset Mastery eBook.
Create Wealth And Live Better
If you have downloaded your copy this book on the Sean Rasmussen Blog or at Universal Wealth Creation you will see that the very fundamental basis for this book is this: setting the right frame of mind in order to create wealth and live better. It’s a concept that seems so simple, yet so elusive, to so many of us; until, that is, we stumble into that day when we decide we’ve simply had enough of the struggle, stress, and strife of this modern age, and we resolve to do something about it.
In fact, there is simplicity to living well and creating wealth for your own. You do not need to be a Harvard or Cambridge educated doctor—you don’t even need to be a college graduate. Wealth is there for the building and taking for all who achieve the right mastery of their mindset. That is exactly what this book was written to illustrate, and that is the basis Universal Wealth Creation and the 21st Century Academy of Jamie McIntyre were built upon.
Learn From Napoleon Hill
For many of us, all we need is a little direction, someone to help us on our way. That is what my websites and blogs are here for, and this book is just one of the ways I have devised to help you reach your wealthy goals. I hope that you will take the time to download Mindset Mastery; read it through, and follow along with me here as we walk through this great wealth-building classic together, and learn from Napoleon Hill what he learned from some of the greatest and wealthiest men of all time.
I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

Carpe Diem - “Seize The Day“. When is the right time to build your mindset and motivational powers? Hey! I’m making it sound like a super natural ability of a Marvel Comics Super Hero… but then again, isn’t it a bit of a super ability to have? Everyone wants it, right? Yet the ones who (say they) don’t need the mindset are the ones that already have it. So that’s why they are already so successful in life, across the board, aren’t they! Pardon the the sarcasm
When to start building your super abilities
NOW! When is ”Now” going to be the right time to take action? Tomorrow? Well, sorry to break the news to you. Tomorrow is not “now”. There is only one “now” and that is the present. Tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow will always be “now” when you get there. What you put off untill tomorrow is a sure-fire way of telling your sub-conscious mind: “I Have No Intention Of Doing It At All“. The only time to start is now.
Mindset building moments
We dont’ find a lot of spare time in our busy lifestyles. It seems that time is speeding up and there is less time in every day that passes. I could spinn off on a totally different tangent about time, but I wont (not this time).
So how do we fit it in? First of all, we have to have a burning desire to make it happen. Here’s what I do:
I fit it in when I am doing something out over the ordinary. In about 2 weeks, I’m driving a 4,600km roundtrip with my 2 sons to visit our family in South Australia. That’s approximately 46 hours of driving + breaks. What a great opportunity to invest some time in myself, whilst driving! There is some serious listening time I can utilize.
When is “Now” going to be the right time?
Now is the right time. Here’s what I’ll be doing on my 46 hour roundtrip:
- Learning basic French. It’s something I’ve meant to do for many years and have never started. Maybe I should have read my own article about five minutes to unlock your motivation. This time, the kids and I will be armed with audio CD’s with French Lessons.
- Supporting my kids dreams. A portable keyboard with speakers, will come along for the journey. My oldest son wants to be a concert pianist (beats being a traindriver, right?). There will be plenty of practice opportunity during the drive. I’ll also ensure I listen in at all times. After all, I want to support other’s dreams and goals.
- Listening to a mindset program. Last year I listened to Kurek Ashley, The Secret with Rhonda Byrne and a Public Speaking Course with Jamie McIntyre. I’ve got no idea which one to do this year. Any suggestions are welcome in the comments section below. Maybe Tony Robbins? It does however need to be kid friendly
OK. That’s what I’m up to. Needless to say, I have no excuse now. You can hold me accountable for taking action towards some of my dreams. Some of those dreams I have never actioned before! Isn’t it funny how we put things off and suddenly a lot of years have passed by?
One year ago, diarised
I posted these 2 posts in my Bullhunters Guide Blog (my first blog) almost one year ago. This will give you an idea what was going through my mind 11-12 months ago, setting out on the same trip to visit my mum and brother. Here are the links to the 2 posts:
- 1 week off every month with cashflow
- Bullhunter drives across the Nullarbor
Enjoy! I had a good laugh and recognise how much I was on the right track. I also now realise how much further down the path I’ve come in one year. It’s a fun journey of growth and self development.
Have a most outstanding day
