This will definitely not be the last time this subject is undertaken in this book, but for anyone doubting that they have the ability to create wealth because of a lack of formal education or college, this passage from Napoleon Hill’s forward will keep you reading. For those of you with education in excess, take heart that utilizing the secret to building wealth should be all the easier for you.
The Secret
“The secret serves equally well, all who are ready for it. Education has nothing to do with it. Long before I was born, the secret had found its way into the possession of Thomas A. Edison, and he used it so intelligently that he became the world’s leading inventor, although he had but three months of schooling.
“The secret was passed on to a business associate of Thomas Edison. He used it so effectively that, although he was then making only $12,000 a year, he accumulated a great fortune, and retired from active business while still a young man. You will find his story at the beginning of the first chapter. It should convince you that riches are not beyond your reach, that you can still be what you wish to be, that money, fame, recognition and happiness can be had by all who are ready and determined to have these blessings.”
No Education Doesn’t Mean Failure
This fact parallels what we teach at Universal Wealth Creation; your past educational experience does not predispose you to a life of poverty. All you have to do to build wealth of your own is to gain access now to the tools you need, and implement what you learn about investing and wealth creation to live better, richer, and freer. Past education is likely a moot point, anyway, because so much of what we learn in school and college is mis-directed; you just don’t learn in school the ways to create wealth that we teach here.
I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

This is the finishing post that I wrote in the Mindset Mastery eBook. I find it quite relevant for the book from a motivational point of view. Sometimes, when you write during an inspired moment, words come out that seem to come from “elsewhere”. This was such an inspired moment for me.
Live Your Passion – by Sean Rasmussen
You have just completed reading a very powerful book, originally written by Napoleon Hill: Think And Grow Rich. I strongly encourage you to locate the original book and read it. This current version was edited by me to modernize it and bring more “current” relevance to the story. The principles remain the same.
I know some very successful people that read this book once every year. It is their Bible. Consider that! Ideally read it at least 7 times. Over 7 years is fine. Just do it.
Take onboard the principles of this book. Internalize them. Make them part of your “mental algorithm”. Napoleon Hill has supplied you with the recipe for Success. Use it and prosper. Ignore it at your own peril. There are no excuses for non-achievers. I thought I had the excuses and reasons. I didn’t. The day I accepted that, my life turned for the better. I am in charge of my own destiny.
So are you!
One of the saddest things I have ever heard was the reply from an elderly person in her twilight years, when asked: “What would you have done different in your life, if you had another chance?”
The reply was a determined yet solemn: “I would have taken more risks”!
I don’t know about you, but that sends a chill down my spine. Don’t allow that to happen! I believe we all have the responsibility to stand on our own two feet and have an excess of success, health, wealth, happiness, abundance and anything else that goes with it. To have enough wealth that it overflows into the pockets of those who are not as fortunate as us; people who have had a rough start to life or have suffered bad setbacks.
Have faith in yourself and the power of your mind when encountering skepticism from friends and “loved ones”. Beware the authority of their opinions. Just how qualified are they really to pass judgment on success? Are they successful themselves? Are they healthy, happy and wealthy? If so, why have they got an “expert”opinion when happy, wealthy, successful and satisfied people generally DO NOT pass judgment?
Don’t let their decisions hold you back. You have no-one but yourself to thank or blame when asked the “Twilight-Years” question:
“What would you have done different in your life, if you had another chance?”
Personally, I have had a few rough breaks. However, none of which I can blame anyone for. I tried to place blame and that temporarily justified my setbacks and non-achievements. This also cemented my place in running for the “non-achiever awards”. Certainly not a trophy anyone would like to win? I have now changed my attitude and outlook on life. A whole new world has opened up for me and guess what? It was there all along!
Live your life with passion. Follow the path of your desires. Make your life one you are proud of when the time comes to leave it all behind. Live your life on your own terms and leave with a sense of achievement; one of satisfaction.
And remember: “Life is not short. It is the longest thing anyone ever does”.
So get into it and make a difference. Good luck! I wish you well.
Live Your Passion

In this crazy thing we call a life, there are a number of things we feel we should do: get married, have children, buy a house, buy a car, be nice to people, etc. But in the end, the only thing that really matters is how happy you are. To help you begin to make your life a happier event, you need to start looking at it as an adventure – not just a ‘To Do’ list.
Growth - Never stop learning
While you might not want to earn another degree (or your first degree), you should be more than willing to learn new things. Read lots of books about subjects that fascinate you. Take classes and try new things. This way, you are always encouraging growth and stimulating your mind and finding out what YOU like to do.
Lifestyle - Travel
You don’t need to go to Bora Bora to be well-traveled and experience lifestyle. Just driving around your local area and seeing what your town has to offer is plenty. Just remove yourself from the norm once in a while. Not only it is fun, but you often come back home more appreciative of what you already have. This develops gratitude and a sense of fulfillment. Seeing something new also makes you feel like you’ve achieved a lot more that day.
Gratitude - Meet new people
Too often we feel that we only need so many friends in order to be a good and fun person. But the more people we meet, the more we can learn about our worlds and how others perceive the world to be. Try meeting new people or at least just talking to strangers to keep things interesting. Develop what I call an Attitude Of Gratitude.
Mindset - Do one thing that scares you
While this may have been paraphrased off of a famous person, it’s really good advice and it’s good for building your mindset. By taking a moment each day to do something that just terrifies you, not only will you learn how strong you are, but you will also find yourself trying new things that you thought were far out of your reach and capability.
Have a most outstanding day

Inspired by a recent review (of this blog) by Stumbleupon legend Bleem-Filk, I’ll jump into a “Five Minute A Day” motivational post.
Got five minutes to spare? Of course you have!
If you want to achieve your goals, you need a drink of that elusive tonic called: Motivation. To get motivated, you will need about 5 minutes per day to kick it into action. Whether you want to admit it or not, you have five minutes to spare right now. And with those five minutes, you could either choose to sulk about something in your busy lifestyle or you could start getting on the road to success. All it takes is five minutes of willpower to begin pumping up your internal motivation.
Here’s how:
Start by listing the things you want to achieve in your life. These could be big things or little things; Lifestyle, wealth, travel, health, achievements, it doesn’t matter. You can even write them down on slips of paper for the next step. Choose just one of these things and then list the steps it will take in order to achieve that goal. The steps should be super tiny so that you aren’t feeling overwhelmed and ready to give up.
Unlock your motivation
For example, if you want to clean your house, you might want to simply start by opening the door of the room that you want to clean. Sounds silly, right? But creating these tiny steps, you will encourage yourself to not only get past the initial hesitation, but also to get started on the things you really want to do. Most people will find that they don’t just want to do the little steps; they also want to do more and before you even know it, you have the room cleaned and you’re ready to start on the next. The initial five minutes of doing this is the key to unlocking your motivational drive to carry on.
Get the momentum happening!
You need to give yourself five minutes to begin the task. You can even get out a timer to make sure you are doing something related to the task within that timeframe. If you want to go longer, that’s fine, but commit to those five minutes. You can easily fit these five minutes into your morning or right before you go to bed. Just fit them into your life somehow.
You might be surprised at what you can do. You are building up momentum and motivation and from there, you can do anything. The results you will reap from investing these “Five Minute A Day” will return you a handsome dividend in the shape of lifestyle, motivation, happiness and fulfillment.
Have a most outstanding day

Kurek Ashley and The Life Success Club
One of my mentors, Kurek Ashley, has been instrumental in my personal improvement journey over the last 14 months. Through his Life Success Club, Kurek has taught me many little life-tricks to turbo charge my ability to feel happy and build a healthy mindset. There are little things that make a big difference. He taught me gratitude; How to be grateful first thing in the morning when I wake up, how to be grateful last thing before I go to sleep. Kurek made me aware of the feeling of success, which is gratitude.
Life Success Club
I realized that people like Kurek Ashley have traveled a tough road in life and things weren’t always that easy for them. As a matter of fact, Kurek has had his fair share of bumps in life. Hearing his story makes many other life stories sound tame. Every time I encounter a hurdle in life, I think of someone, like Kurek Ashley, that has been in a much worse situation than me. Then gratitude sets in. Gratitude for how fortunate I am to have problems that would make others peoples problems look like a holiday.
Gratitude, Mindset and Lifestyle
Learning these skills, such as gratitude and a healthy mindset, allows for another asset we all strive for: Lifestyle. After all, every ounce of gold in the world would be worthless if we couldn’t enjoy the lifestyle we dream of. A good lifestyle requires happiness. Happiness comes from living a life without stress and worry. This means lots of gratitude, generosity and anything else that makes you feel good. I make monthly donations to 3 charities and that makes me feel great. That’s one thing I learned from my mentors, one of them I’ve mentioned before: Kurek Ashley.
Here’s to Gratitude, Mindset and Lifestyle
