I get a lot of emails. Preferably, people comment in the blog and everyone can benefit from the answer. My philosophies that are inspired heavily by Dr Demartini, Napoleon Hill, Kurek Ashley, Wallace Wattles and many more, do challenge a lot of people.
Why Isn’t This Working For Me?
Here is an example of an email I got from a lady last week: (she will remain nameless)
“I wish I could have $1M this week! Funny hey! But it is true! That is what I wish and hope for so much for a specific reason. Now, come on, you know you can’t do that with nothing!!”
This is very true, indeed! Now, I would have loved to get that response in the “Comments Section” below the post. Not in my email. My blogs are here to help lots of people and the best way I can do that is to make them public.
Million Dollar Thoughts
This was my response:
“You are at a place in life that you have traveled to. Your destination is a direct result of your actions. You, and no one else, is to thank for that. Everything you have is a result of the way you think and the way you perceive life. If you want a Million dollars, you need to have Million dollar thoughts. They don’t just come overnight. They are a result of abundant thoughts, actions and later reality. Wealth breeds more wealthy thoughts and poverty breed poverized thoughts.
The fastest way to change anything is to change your thoughts.
So you are right. You can’t “do that with nothing”. You need to have the basis first and that is abundant thoughts followed by abundant action.”
Unfortunately, my email bounced and the lady didn’t receive it…
Confucius Say:
To quote old man Confucius (I’m sure it was him), there is an old Chinese saying that sums up the above paragraphs quite nicely:
If you want to see your past, look at your current results.
If you want to see you future, look at your current actions.
Think abundant thoughts and you will eventually have abundant actions.
This is the finishing post that I wrote in the Mindset Mastery eBook. I find it quite relevant for the book from a motivational point of view. Sometimes, when you write during an inspired moment, words come out that seem to come from “elsewhere”. This was such an inspired moment for me.
Live Your Passion – by Sean Rasmussen
You have just completed reading a very powerful book, originally written by Napoleon Hill: Think And Grow Rich. I strongly encourage you to locate the original book and read it. This current version was edited by me to modernize it and bring more “current” relevance to the story. The principles remain the same.
I know some very successful people that read this book once every year. It is their Bible. Consider that! Ideally read it at least 7 times. Over 7 years is fine. Just do it.
Take onboard the principles of this book. Internalize them. Make them part of your “mental algorithm”. Napoleon Hill has supplied you with the recipe for Success. Use it and prosper. Ignore it at your own peril. There are no excuses for non-achievers. I thought I had the excuses and reasons. I didn’t. The day I accepted that, my life turned for the better. I am in charge of my own destiny.
So are you!
One of the saddest things I have ever heard was the reply from an elderly person in her twilight years, when asked: “What would you have done different in your life, if you had another chance?”
The reply was a determined yet solemn: “I would have taken more risks”!
I don’t know about you, but that sends a chill down my spine. Don’t allow that to happen! I believe we all have the responsibility to stand on our own two feet and have an excess of success, health, wealth, happiness, abundance and anything else that goes with it. To have enough wealth that it overflows into the pockets of those who are not as fortunate as us; people who have had a rough start to life or have suffered bad setbacks.
Have faith in yourself and the power of your mind when encountering skepticism from friends and “loved ones”. Beware the authority of their opinions. Just how qualified are they really to pass judgment on success? Are they successful themselves? Are they healthy, happy and wealthy? If so, why have they got an “expert”opinion when happy, wealthy, successful and satisfied people generally DO NOT pass judgment?
Don’t let their decisions hold you back. You have no-one but yourself to thank or blame when asked the “Twilight-Years” question:
“What would you have done different in your life, if you had another chance?”
Personally, I have had a few rough breaks. However, none of which I can blame anyone for. I tried to place blame and that temporarily justified my setbacks and non-achievements. This also cemented my place in running for the “non-achiever awards”. Certainly not a trophy anyone would like to win? I have now changed my attitude and outlook on life. A whole new world has opened up for me and guess what? It was there all along!
Live your life with passion. Follow the path of your desires. Make your life one you are proud of when the time comes to leave it all behind. Live your life on your own terms and leave with a sense of achievement; one of satisfaction.
And remember: “Life is not short. It is the longest thing anyone ever does”.
So get into it and make a difference. Good luck! I wish you well.
Knowing the background of an accomplished empowerment and wealth creation teacher like Napoleon Hill lends his teachings a high dose of credibility. It appears to be a notable fact that many, if not most, inspiring self improvement authors started life with some sort of hardship. Rarely do we see someone born with abundance of worldly possessions and material wealth become a highly inspiring and well known motivational author.
Napoleon Hill
Napoleon Hill was born in the late 1800’s (1883-1970) and lived a long and successful life during which he proved that mastering your mind does certainly lead to success and wealth. Mr. Hill is another prime example of a man born into a modest family, who came to be famous beyond his own lifetime, and ultimately a contemporary of great wealthy and powerful men like Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, and President Franklin Roosevelt.
Napoleon Hill started life poor. He was born in a two-room cabin in rural Virginia. His mother died when he was a boy. Hill began writing at the tender age of 13 for a mountain newspaper and worked his way to success, fame, and prosperity from there. His early career as a newspaper reporter put him in contact with the famed steel magnate Andrew Carnegie, who prompted Hill to study the lives of successful and wealthy men to find the secret to their success, so that he could share it with others.
Think and Grow Rich
This was the impetus behind Think and Grow Rich. The book is based on research gathered from interviews with more than 500 wealthy men; from those interviews, Hill gleaned 13 principles shared by all rich men and women, principles he outlines in order to teach readers the secret to wealth creation. The book went on to become Hill’s best known work, and is valued here at Universal Wealth Creation as one of the most useful resources for people seeking to master the keys to wealth creation, and live better by doing so.
I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.
In this video, I also refer to some other videos. If you wish to view them, you’ll find them by following the link to my Universal Easter Message.
A Motivated Easter (and relaxed)
I have promised to publish 4 motivational posts this easter. If you’ll visit, I’ll commit to the posts. Today, I’ll simply give you a peaceful Easter Message from my friends from Malolo Island in Fiji. They truly know the meaning of tranquility and the true understanding of lifestyle and success: “Having an abundance of time”. I filmed this in Fiji during a holiday in January 2008.
My good friend, Peter Bland is The Ice Man. He is the first Australian to reach the North Magnetic Pole in 1998 and the first to venture both to the north and south magnetic poles. His courage and abundance mentality has brought him through conditions and aversity that lesser men would have folded under. In 1996, he navigated a team to the South Magnetic Pole. In 2000, he was honored to raise the Australian flag of Sir Douglas Mawson on the North Magnetic Pole, that was raised by Sir Douglas himself on the South Pole nearly 100 years earlier.
What Makes Peter Bland Remarkable?
Peter Bland was born with a hole in his heart. At the age of 8, he survived open heart surgery. His trek to the North Pole was undertaken only 12 months after his 2nd major bout of open heart surgery. In order to get funds to go to the north pole, “Blandy” got a sponsorship from an underwear company: Mitch Dowd Boxer Shorts. Check out this funny video, filmed on the Magnetic North Pole.
Disaster On The Antarctic Peninsula
With the North Pole behind him, Peter was ready for his next adventure. Peter and his friend, Jay Watson, set out to cross the Antarctic peninsula, unsupported. On the very last day of the journey, Peter Bland was swept away by an avalanche, into a crevasse. Falling the equivalent of 14 stories, Peter suffered massive injuries. For 3 days, Jay Watson lay on top of Peter to keep him warm and alive until rescuers arrived. Thanks to his friends persistence, Peter is still alive today.
Remarkable Facts About Peter Bland
These are some remarkable facts that come to mind about my mate: “Blandy”
Peter Bland has successfully raised over $14 Million dollars for charity
He has produced 2 television documentaries
He is the first Australian to the North Magnetic Pole
He has survived 2 major bouts of open heart surgery and carried on as normal
Peter founded Adventure Odyssey, where he takes people to Antarctica on lifetime adventures with his thrillionaire mate: Nik Halik
Peter is now a successful public speaker, motivating people with stories of his adventures.
The Ice Man Meets His Nemesis: Whiskey The Ram
A few months ago, Peter repaid a favor to me by doing a 1,5 hour presentation of his motivational adventures to my sons grade 5 class. They had a ball. Here is a video with Peter, filmed on my property in Western Australia from that very same weekend. He’s trying to hold off my Ram, Whiskey, while delivering a motivational message.
To quote his motivational saying:
If we want, what we want
then we have to be prepared to do, today
what others won’t
so we will have tomorrow
what others don’t - Peter Bland
Next time, I will post the blooper of the above video, titled: “Peter Bland and Frisky Whiskey”
