Surround Yourself with Reminders
When you’re caught in the hustle and bustle of your life, it’s easy to forget what you were doing. If the phone rings while you are helping your child with their spelling homework, coming back to your child and their place is not always simple. In the case of bigger dreams and tasks, you need to make sure you are surrounding yourself with reminders of what you want to do and how you want to do it. That way, no matter what distractions you have, you will be able to come back to what really matters.
One of the easiest ways to remind yourself of where your dreams are is to write out a list of the things you want. You can do this on a piece of paper or type it out on a computer – that part doesn’t matter. What does matter is that you make sure you are writing down the things you want and reading them regularly. Keep a copy in your wallet or purse as well as on your bathroom mirror at home. The more you etch these goals into your head, the more you will come back to them and work on them. Your personal success will depend on how often you review these goals.
Visual Reminders
Others like to surround themselves with visual reminders of what they want. If you wanted to go to Hawaii, for example, you might find pictures of the beaches to post around your office or your home. This way, you will be reminded of this special trip and how much you want to take it. Communicate this to yourself often. This will activate your brain to be thinking about it all the time, even when you’re not aware you are.
Finally, make sure to tell people you trust about your dreams so that they will ask you about your progress. These questions serve as more reminders about what you want to do and how close you are to doing it.
Have a most outstanding day
