Thanks for the great tips here & I have started to do some of the things you have listed here like collecting magazines & books for success. The other part of this is actually taking the time to read them & is something that i need to pay closer attention to. I think your tip on having a journal is a great idea & will look into getting one very soon : )

For the last few years I have found myself reading more and more. Whatever I can get my hands on, books, blogs, magazines. I am currently working my way through Tim Ferriss’ latest which I feel is helping me change my mindset from wanting to control and do everything myself to being able to site back and put into place the processes and mechanisms to not be so involved.

But one I highly recommend is “The Artists Way”. It also has great exercises in it.

Another one – just for me is called “The Comedy Bible” A great ‘how to’ book, stories of successful comedy writers & how they got to be where they are.

Collecting success tools to help yourself is the best thing you can do for yourself – hands-diddly-down!!

As far as a journal – what I have is ‘upteen’ journals all with my musings in them. Stuff that happens I know will come in handy later to write a funny blog about. It has helped me more & more… I am constantly ‘seeing’ funny stuff everywhere in life now as a result of my expanded ‘funny’ awareness!
