Hi Renee and Wal,

Sometimes I don't know if I'm on the right path. I'm just busy persisting. Even I self-sabotage myself along the way, persistence kicks in and I keep going.

It's just about not giving up; no matter what. So, you can't ever really fail as long as you keep persisting.

Persistence. It's so important when needing to get the job done. And for authors? I don't even want to imagine where we'd be if some of our greatest authors hadn't persisted.

Hi Sean

Oh yes good old persistence. Just look at a young child trying to stand up, to walk, to open the refrigerator door, to stack the blocks, to not want to go to bed, to throwing a tantrum when he doesn't get his own way! He never gives up.

Once he starts walking he runs, he falls, he does it over and over again until he masters it. Where does that persistence come from? How does he know it's time to start crawling or climb out of his cot unexpectedly?

Persistence never gives up.

Blessings

Hey Wal,

Stephen King's stories are great, it just when they make them into movies that they tend to screw them up. Mind you, having said that, Carrie, Misery, The Dead Zone, and surprisingly, The Stand (tv mini-series) were all really good. Yeah, I'm a bit of a fan! *grin*

Cheers,

I am glad Joanne Rowling persisted. Harry Potter is jolly good reading. I sometimes wish Stephen King had not persisted. My brother in law insists on giving my wife a Stephen King book as a present each Xmas and we both dislike that genre. At least he is persistent :)
