Mindset Mastery 11 – When And Where Will I Find This Secret?

by Sean Rasmussen on May 29, 2008

Mindset Mastery EbookThe revelation of the secret happens at different points for different people. You may even have an indication of what this secret will entail. Napoleon Hill provides this dialogue in regards to the when and the how of the secret revealing itself to you.

“Somewhere, as you read, the secret to which I refer will jump from the page and stand boldly before you, if you are ready for it! When it appears, you will recognize it. Whether you receive the sign in the first or the last chapter, stop for a moment when it presents itself, and turn down a glass, for that occasion will mark the most important turning-point of your life.”

What it takes to succeed

What Napoleon Hill is telling you in Think and Grow Rich is that the secret is everywhere to be found in this book, even though it is never directly named. The key to success is there for the taking, you just have to be receptive to it. That’s really very much in line with all of successful wealth creation. When you are ready to learn and commit to creating wealth for yourself, you will find the resolve and the information you need to succeed.

The First Time I Thought To Grow Rich

I recall reading Think And Grow Rich for the first time in year 2000. I read through the entire book and never actually “got” what The Secret was! Although, at the time I wasn’t quite ready for the message, the book had a massive impact on me. This was also before Rhonda Byrne had super commercialized “The Secret”, based on Wallace Wattles book: The Science Of Getting Rich.

Actually, I have a version of Wallace Wattles book: The Science Of Getting Rich. Let me know if you’d like to download a free version. If I get enough comment in this blog (like LOTS!), then I’ll seriously consider finishing it off and making it available.

I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

hi sean
i for one am most definately interested. after seeing what you done with the napoleon hill yarn i really feel like pressing the submit button 8000 times just to ensure you go ahead.
yours in appreciation,
steve.

LOL. Thanks Steve. 800 comments would be nice (I think). As long as they are from lots of people. If we could get 8000 people to read Napoleon Hill and Wallace Wattles through this blog alone, imagine what a difference we can make in here. Then think of the 10’s of thousands and possibly 100’s of thousands who have already read these books in their life. Put those people in one spot and see if George Bush could get a word in… :D

Hi Sean and Steve,
Yes yes yes, please provide the e-book. Would love to read it. Here are two good things I find about our emails.

1. You can always press the “delete” button and not read emails and make the excuse that you don’t have enough time, or you can make the time and find that you ALWAYS have the time to read your emails once you have committed to reading a few (creating a habit) and you start to wonder how you ever thought you did not have time (this is a good lesson for everything we do). Hope that makes sense. In short, if you make time, you will have time and it becomes a regular habit.

2. They are motivational and keep you aware of your thoughts and keep you aware of being grateful.

Please Sean, keep us thinking!

Regards, Eileen.

Hey thanks, Eileen! You wouldn’t believe how many ‘unhappy’ emails I get. Actually, not that many, they just stand out like sore thumbs! And then every now and again I get one that says:

“Thanks! Keep sending me this stuff. It’s great!”

And you are right. There is a delete button or an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. Thanks for calling in and commenting. It’s the main source of encouragement I get from posting and it tells me that people want to know more. (that means: send more people along) :D

Oh, yeah! Lots more comments from more people are needed before I spend another 40 – 50 hours finishing off my work on the book ;)

Hi Sean,

I’m very interested about the book “The Science Of Getting Rich”, actualized by you.

You always had good reading material and a down to earth point of view.

Hi Paul

The Science Of Getting Rich” will definitely be published here for a FREE download. I actually had it 90% finished before the Mindset Mastery ebook. It needs the finishing touches, errors fixed and proofreading etc. I might ask for some volunteers next time. Hmm, I wonder if there would be any takers?

Thanks a Million!

Sean,

Remember that those unhappy emails are just people who have not, as you say, “woken up” and then there are people you have helped and they are here telling you how much we appreciate your effort. Who knows, sometimes it is a response that you give to an unhappy email that sends them on a different path. Sometimes just a positive word and that can make a slight difference in their outlook.

How many pages of proof reading?

Eileen.

OK, Steve. I’ll pick a handful of people and email a few copies for feedback. We can use the blog to clean up the book together. I think we have plenty of volunteers. I will need at least a few weeks, though, to catch my breath after launching my latest book only yesterday.

Hi Sean

Just wanted to say you’re a marvel and a real inspiration. Loving the e-books (am reading a couple between Homestudy) and the blogs. Affirmative for your version of ‘The Science of Getting Rich’ – your materials and blogs are very thought provoking. Need them in order to exercise this grey-matter regularly before it turns to mush from primarily being a communicating tool with a toddler & baby!! Thanks Sean, your efforts are truly appreciated!

Hello Sean! I too would be interested in reading it. I checked out the ad for your new book and admit I’m shocked at how much money you’ve made. I am interested in learning Internet marketing, but am struggling financially and it may take a few months to be able to afford to buy your book – yes it’s pretty bad. I have extremely bad credit and am still paying off a student loan that has an ever growing interest rate (it’s increased 17 times because they can legally raise rates on student loans). Give me a little while and I will buy it. Have a great day Sean:)

Hi Bobby
Great to see you here again, mate. Things have been hectic, to say the least, since I released the book on Friday. I had a funny email from an American friend who said my sales letter was very “Hollywood” and “Hype”. I think I can take that as a compliment, somehow. It was from someone who knows me so that is OK. I found it funny though. It’s hard to tell the truth and have to hold back the facts, just to make it believable.
I’ll be in touch.

Hi Sean,

this is my first visit to your Mindset Mastery blog, as I only stumbled onto your website yesterday. Since then I’ve downloaded The Secret Law of Attraction (and read it already) and ‘Mindset Mastery’, having read about 60 pages of it. I just wanted to congratulate you to your wonderful work. Reading this modern version of Napoleon Hill’s ‘Think and Grow Rich’ gave me a totally new insight into the whole material (I read the original about two years ago, and probably wasn’t ready yet to pick up ‘The Secret’). I am reading the book and your posts here simultaneously, and it is very interesting to read your comments and the comments of all the readers while digesting the messages of the book.
Now, referring to what was said before on this page, I would also be more than happy to help you with the proofreading, (as a professional proofreader), but you might have enough volunteers by now.

Keep up the good work,

Connie

Hi Sean,

I really think the revealing of the secret is that once the student is ready, the master will appear. The secret will appear when we are ready to hear it and capitalize on the knowledge.

Having said that I have still struggled to make the most of ‘Think and Grow Rich’. I think I am doing better at mastering the success principles by reading your blog. It really helps to have your updated version and to be able to have the lessons fed to me on a daily basis through your blog posts.

Hi Sean,

Thanks for this post, you’re so tuned in to teaching this positive stuff it’s a pleasure to follow your updates, Sean.

Sean, can you tell me, is the power the little girl stumbled upon in the story, “Introduction, A Fifty Cent Lesson In Persistence”the same or is it a related power to the one talked about here in this chapter? I suppose it would have to be related to the secret. If so how. Is it the exact same thing?

Jill.

P.S. I’m also interested in Wallace Wattle’s and The Science Of Getting Rich.

Hill is sneaky by not revealing directly what the secret is… Good tactic though. And he refers to it so often indirectly, that you soon get the hunch of what he means.

Dr.Hill is very clever. He describes it, but you have to be open to really get it. I guess I will re-read the book (wasn’t it 7 times we should read it?).
In regards to the Wallace Wattle book – thanks for making that available as well Sean. I love the MP3 and have it on in the car on a regular basis. Any chance to get Napoleon Hill in the same format? That would be SUPER!!!

It is interesting to read Wallace Wattles’ work and speculated what Napoleon Hill thought when he did the same. Wallace has a way of expressing things fairly simply, maybe too simply for some, and he expresses pantheistic views which would not have gone down all that well with the Christian majority at the time.

Hi Sean

I think Mr Hill threw the word ’secret’ in there in order to get us to really focus and re read his book. What we constantly ‘wonder’ about will be where our attention is.

To me, the secret would be a ‘burning desire’ as without the desire for anything, I would not have the motivation.

All in all, what really matters is that we embrace the principals outlined and take action on them…. away to read some more TAGR.

Blessings

Hi Elly,

I’m with you. I think the secret is the burning desire you get when you want something really badly. Desire is the first thing you need on your journey to success.

No-one can want it for you. This is what makes desire the secret.
