Hi Elizabeth and Renee,

I think we have a responsibility to help others as other people have helped us to get us where we are today. I think that quote, 'to whom much is given, much is expected'; says it all.

I think we have a responsibility to pay it forward and help someone else. Besides, it just feels good.

Hi Elizabeth,

it sounds like you are inspiring to people as well. It's a great thing to help others, and as Sean shows it can be contagious. You get helped by a (great) person / mentor / teacher and it creates the wish to do the same down the track to others.

I am counting on all the people that have been inspired to take action to inspire 1 or more persons them selves in th future by sharing their knowledge with them.

I've read many books that gave me insights and wake-up calls. I hope I will always find one when I need it. This is the year that I told myself things must change. When the student is ready, the teacher will come. I must be ready. :D

I've spent most of my life helping others in any way I could. I don't plan to stop any time soon.

Hi Sean

Thankyou so much for sharing that very touching memory which brought tears to my eyes just thinking about it. As I said in another of your blogs today, TAGR changed my life as a teenager. I read what Wal said about the Gita, a book I have loved and adored for many years.

I attended a seminar 4 years ago and the speaker said that in exchange for the education he was giving us he would like us to consider putting ten percent of the profit we made from taking massive action towards a charity or something similar. I decided that day that I would start donating before I made any profit, and it became a really easy and fulfilling thing to do. I think it's called 'paying it forward'?

I didn't want to walk away from the seminar pumped up with good intentions and not act on them. I learnt that day that if I made a promise, then I will commit to it.

Giving from the heart with no thought of return is the only true form of giving.

Now Sean, you have been able to give freely, Napoleon Hill's wonderful book of self empowerment so that people can realise that there is a way to live an amazing life and have happiness.

You know it has the ability to change people's lives so in fact, this is your way of 'paying it forward' and it is a wonderful gift indeed.

Thankyou and many blessings
Elly

Over the years, I've followed and donated to various charities and causes. Somewhere in Korea is a little girl (or I guess she would be a young lady, now) that I helped for a few years; there has been donations to the Surf Life Saving club down home, contributions to one of the ships that participated in the Tall Ships Race in celebration of Australia's Bi-Centennial. I enjoyed making these contributions because they interested me, not for any karmic or cosmic reward. These days I've got myself into a situation where I can no longer make these kind of contributions, and I miss it. This is part of the reason I'm in this competition: to better myself so that I can help to better others.

Just a thought!

Cheers,

Pete
