Hi Camil,
I've always been a giver. I enjoy giving to people but possibly I haven't given to the right people.....

I think I'm not wealthy because I haven't thought about me enough and what it is that I want. I've read that some of the wealth creation secrets are that you pay yourself first. Like the example in The Richest Man In Babylon. This is probably where I went wrong in the past.

I agree and disagree with you Sarah! We aren't all born with basically the same knowledge - think of those kids in the Congo forced to be soldiers or those in Dhafur or a tribe in the Amazon. Culture plays a big part.

But yes, those born to wealth have it easier to progress to more. For us though, yes, it is up to us.

I disagree with this - wow, I know! I think some people who are born into wealth have it easier to be successful than those economically disadvantaged but we all have it in us to be great.

Those who are at a disadvantage can use that to their advantage isn't of dwelling in the idea of it not being fair that someone was born to wealth and they weren't. We're all born with basically the same knowledge and with primarily the same experiences (of course there's horrific exceptions to this) and we all deserve what we want to have.

I know we all have a right to what we want to have, deep down, and it's up to us, not our circumstances, to define what that is.

Hi Lina,

You're absolutely right. We don't all start life with equal chances of success. As an adult, we can't help what situation we were born into, but we can choose for ourselves what our destiny will be.

We certainly didn't get the same opportunities as children, but as adults there is a plethora of free information available to help us improve our lives and be successful. The information is out there and we are all free to take advantage of it. If we choose to.

Hi Jazz

I don't think we all have the same chance or opportunity to create wealth, unfortunately. I do think things like where you're born, into which family you're born, greatly affects your chances and opportunity. We're lucky in the wealthy nations, like Australia, that we all do have opportunity, yes. But people are just dealt with a different hand. I don't believe we all start life on an equal playing field.

What's great is when you hear the stories about those who have achieved great wealth and success, despite having come from less opportunity. They are amazing and inspiring.
