Hi Elizabeth,

I know the feeling well. I'm always persisting with the wrong thing but I'm getting a little better. Sometimes I just can't help myself. I don't know when to give in.

So, it can be a negative experience but most of the time my natural persistence is a life saver.

I've made my share and then some of mistakes. Most of the time, I learned the first time and was able to move on. Sometimes, persistence can be a bad thing. lol Such as when one persists in "wrong thinking", or continues to make the same mistake time after time. Then it's just called stubborness or being mule-headed. :D

I'd like to think that I'm beyond that type of persistence now. With your help, Sean, I will now persist in doing things the right way.

Hey Sean,

For the most part, I would say that there wouldn't be many people who, in hindsight, would appreciate the mistakes that they made for the learnings that they gained afterwards. But then, if they hadn't have made the mistake, then there is also a good chance that they had already learnt that lesson.

Just a thought!

Cheers,

Pete

Yes, Renee. That's what I find in my therapy business. Many of my clients are much more successful than they were years ago when they first started seeing me. All of them failed at one stage or another to achieve what they wanted first time. But each 'defeat' made them stronger.
