When is “Now” going to be the right time?
Carpe Diem - “Seize The Day“. When is the right time to build your mindset and motivational powers? Hey! I’m making it sound like a super natural ability of a Marvel Comics Super Hero… but then again, isn’t it a bit of a super ability to have? Everyone wants it, right? Yet the ones who (say they) don’t need the mindset are the ones that already have it. So that’s why they are already so successful in life, across the board, aren’t they! Pardon the the sarcasm
When to start building your super abilities
NOW! When is ”Now” going to be the right time to take action? Tomorrow? Well, sorry to break the news to you. Tomorrow is not “now”. There is only one “now” and that is the present. Tomorrow never comes. Tomorrow will always be “now” when you get there. What you put off untill tomorrow is a sure-fire way of telling your sub-conscious mind: “I Have No Intention Of Doing It At All“. The only time to start is now.
Mindset building moments
We dont’ find a lot of spare time in our busy lifestyles. It seems that time is speeding up and there is less time in every day that passes. I could spinn off on a totally different tangent about time, but I wont (not this time).
So how do we fit it in? First of all, we have to have a burning desire to make it happen. Here’s what I do:
I fit it in when I am doing something out over the ordinary. In about 2 weeks, I’m driving a 4,600km roundtrip with my 2 sons to visit our family in South Australia. That’s approximately 46 hours of driving + breaks. What a great opportunity to invest some time in myself, whilst driving! There is some serious listening time I can utilize.
When is “Now” going to be the right time?
Now is the right time. Here’s what I’ll be doing on my 46 hour roundtrip:
- Learning basic French. It’s something I’ve meant to do for many years and have never started. Maybe I should have read my own article about five minutes to unlock your motivation. This time, the kids and I will be armed with audio CD’s with French Lessons.
- Supporting my kids dreams. A portable keyboard with speakers, will come along for the journey. My oldest son wants to be a concert pianist (beats being a traindriver, right?). There will be plenty of practice opportunity during the drive. I’ll also ensure I listen in at all times. After all, I want to support other’s dreams and goals.
- Listening to a mindset program. Last year I listened to Kurek Ashley, The Secret with Rhonda Byrne and a Public Speaking Course with Jamie McIntyre. I’ve got no idea which one to do this year. Any suggestions are welcome in the comments section below. Maybe Tony Robbins? It does however need to be kid friendly
OK. That’s what I’m up to. Needless to say, I have no excuse now. You can hold me accountable for taking action towards some of my dreams. Some of those dreams I have never actioned before! Isn’t it funny how we put things off and suddenly a lot of years have passed by?
One year ago, diarised
I posted these 2 posts in my Bullhunters Guide Blog (my first blog) almost one year ago. This will give you an idea what was going through my mind 11-12 months ago, setting out on the same trip to visit my mum and brother. Here are the links to the 2 posts:
Enjoy! I had a good laugh and recognise how much I was on the right track. I also now realise how much further down the path I’ve come in one year. It’s a fun journey of growth and self development.
Have a most outstanding day

Bonjour!
I think its fabulous that you have decided to learn French. Languages stretch our mind, and expand our imagination and remind us that we each have potential to go much further than we already do. Each time we uncover a new source of motivation in our lives, this clue brings us a step closer to what we truly want. The process of getting-to-know ourselves requires effort, but the rewards can also be priceless.
A friend of mine read your book. It transformed his thinking process and his lifeview. Sharing personal life stories that contain lessons and uplifting experience is one of the most inspirational things a person can do.

Thanks Liara. I enjoy languages and having the ability to communicate with other people is priceless. Not understanding someone is frustrating. Many disputes and wars would be avoided if we all spoke the same tongue or at least gave each other the respect of learning each others languages.

One of the things a person can learn about language is you don’t necessarily need to know particular words to communicate effectively. For instance, Italian may be considered very much a language of gestures. Other languages are also very expressive as demonstrated by facila expressions, body movement and also, intense emotions. Since you are interested in French, you may already know that this language contains more adjectives than a great many other languages precisely because it is so fundamentally expressive and stems from the heart. Writers, such as Victor Hugo, are known for long sentences that employ many adjectives.
