Mindset Mastery 76 – Connecting The Power Of Thought

by Sean Rasmussen on January 19, 2009

Mindset Mastery eBookAs we said at the end of the last post, there will always be cynics—and we all know we’ve seen them around the ‘net aplenty—who will deny that something so simple could have any power over life. Today, let’s see if we can’t support that notion a little more as we make a connection between thought and physical reality.

Thoughts in Translation

In connection with this, consider again the statement, all thoughts which have been emotionalized (given feeling), and mixed with faith, immediately begin to translate themselves into their physical equivalent or counterpart.

The emotions, or the “feeling” portion of thoughts, are the factors which give thoughts vitality, life, and action. The emotions of Faith, Love, and Sex, when mixed with any thought impulse, give it greater action than any of these emotions can do on their own.

Mind Your Recipe

This does not only apply to thought impulses which have been mixed with faith; thoughts mixed with any positive or negative emotions can reach and influence the subconscious mind.

Hence, the subconscious mind will translate a negative or destructive thought into its physical equivalent just as readily as it will act on positive or constructive thoughts. This accounts for the strange phenomenon which so many millions of people experience and refer to as “misfortune,” or “bad luck.”

Believe And You Will Be

There are millions of people who believe that they are “doomed” to struggle financially and fail because of some strange force they believe they have no control over. They are the creators of their own “misfortunes,” because of this negative belief, which is picked up by the subconscious mind, and translated into its physical equivalent.

This seems an appropriate place to remind you that you can benefit and create your own financial destiny by passing any desire which you hope to see translated into wealth creation on to your subconscious mind in a state of expectancy or belief that the transformation will actually take place. Your belief, or faith, is the element which determines the action of your subconscious mind. There is nothing to stop you from “deceiving” your subconscious mind when you instruct it (through auto-suggestion), just as Hill deceived his son’s subconscious mind.

Catch-22 For Cynics

It never ceases to amaze me how many cynics will read a concept like this and tell you it is rubbish—without even connecting the fact that their own negativity and closed-mindedness is the reason this concept cannot work for them! The Law of Attraction works both ways; but you don’t have to even believe in the Law to understand why this concept would hold true. It’s a simple matter of choice and perception. You choose how to perceive the events in your life (even the bad ones) and whether to remain in a state of negativity or move forward and beyond them. In so doing, you choose either a path of positive attraction or negative—but the choice is always up to you!

It takes a small shift in the way we think, to make a huge difference in our lives. Having read “Think and Grow Rich” many years ago and searching for its secrets, I could not find them. The second time around I found there are no secrets just the truth, and that has the effect of unleashing a whole new world for you. When the student was ready the teacher appeared – thanks for your mentoring Sean – it makes a big difference.

all the best,

Rob.

Hi Sean,

I am very excited by the prospect that my thoughts can be translated into a physical reality. If I genuinely believe that I can transform my desires into reality, it will happen. Belief is the key and maybe the one thing that has been previously missing for me.

I’m pretty good at goal-setting and I knew exactly what I wanted but I lacked the unshakable belief that I could really make it happen. Fear and self doubt were my enemies and they won, at that time.

I’ve been working on this and I believe I am much improved. My family is even noticing the positive changes in my attitude and it’s really encouraging for me.

Not sure if any of you have heard of a guy called Paul Watzlawick. He wrote a book which describes how we can make sure that we have problems and stay unhappy. Somehow I found myself nodding and agreeing throughout the book, yes, I had made these experiences, they are true. And – just at the end – he turns the question around and questions that, if we agree that our thoughts and actions help to keep us unhappy, why is it so hard to agree that the opposite is possible as well? That our thoughts can change our lives in a positive way as well.

BTW the title of this book is “The Situation Is Hopeless But Not Serious (The Pursuit of Unhappiness)”
