Mindset Mastery 40 – Summing Up Henry Ford

by uwc on September 8, 2008

Mindset Mastery Ebook By Sean RasmussenThere is so much to be learned from the greatest and wealthiest men and women of our past and present time. Today, we look back and summarize the thoughts, actions, and attitude of the great Henry Ford.

“Admittedly, this story may not be described with exact accuracy, but the summary of it is correct. Those of you who wish to think and grow rich should use this story to deduce the secret of the Ford millions, if you can. You won’t have to look long.

Henry Ford was a success because he understood and applied the principles of success. One of these principles is desire: knowing what you want. Remember this Ford story as you read, and pick out the lines which describe the secret of his stupendous achievement. If you can do this, if you can lay your finger on the particular group of principles which made Henry Ford rich, you can equal his achievements in almost any profession you are suited to.”

YOU can get rich because YOU can do just what Henry Ford did—you can apply a definite desire with a determination that knows no bounds. You can apply this set of principles to any type of job or business because the success is not in what you do, but how you do it.

That was the 40th part of the initial Mindset Mastery series. I hope you enjoyed it. I am preparing another lot and will post them on Mondays and Fridays from now on. On Friday I will talk to you about Captains Of Souls.

See you then.

I BELIEVE, THAT IF YOU BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND ARE DETERMINED AND FOCUSED.
YOU CAN AND WILL SUCCEED IN THE THE THINGS YOU ARE INTERESTED IN AND THE DIRECTION YOU ARE BEST SUITED TO.

KNOWLEDGE, RESPECT, DETERMINATION, TENACITY AND SUPPORT FROM THOSE AROUND YOU ARE ESSENTIAL TO SUCCESS.

NEVER GIVING UP ON YOURSELF BUT KNOWING WHAT TO FIGHT FOR AND WHEN TO LET GO ARE PIVOTAL ALSO.

THE POWER OF PRAYER IS AMAZING… GOD BLESS

Sean,

Loved the series and looking forward to the next one. I have read Think and Grow Rich and I found your post a great reminder of the book and motivated me to continue working on my midset.
Keep up the great work!

Gavin

I have read all the books on positive thinking and many biographies of many wealthy men, but the most fascinating was Andrew Carnegie and Bill Gates. They were simply superb. Dreams do realize when you have faith to dream a big dream.

Knowing what you really want is key. Once you go past the wishing stage and have this feeling of just knowing “this is what I want” – that’s it.

Its the best feeling as it gives you a reassurance that you will achieve it, no matter what. And as Henry Ford you will pursue it, no matter how many people tell you that you are nuts ;)

Absolutely agrree Renee. It took me a while to formulate but now I have decided what I really want from life and I am as determined as hell to make it come true. It keeps me going when times are tough which at the moment they really are tough for me.

Hi Sean,
The thing I love most about books like ‘Think and Grow Rich’ is that they are freely available for anyone. We may not have role models in our lives who can teach us the principles of wealth creation but all of us have access to a library.
I think mentors are pivotal to our success and the story of Henry Ford is just as relevant today as it was then. There are many stories of success and the lessons never change; only the names of those who succeed.
Desire and determination will always be key ingredients to success.

I agree with you Jazz but not only desire and determination you also need emotion and faith to see yourself where you want to be … if you want that New car see yourself sitting at the wheel driving along the highway, visualize it every morning, every night and through the day till you have possession of it.

The biggest thing I learned from Henry Ford’s story is to learn to delegate. He built his dream and created his empire by finding the best team he could and empowering them to make things happen. He was a truely great leader who had a vision and extreme confidence in himself.
