Mindset Mastery 75 – A Plan For The Subconscious

Mindset Mastery eBookOur last Mindset Mastery post left off with the quote that begins today’s. That one sentence, as simple a thing as it may seem to do, is a plan of sorts for rewiring your subconscious. It’s an amazingly powerful act, and one that cynics will often deny, but as you’ll see there is solid logic behind it.

“Repeating and reaffirming orders to your subconscious mind is the only known method of voluntary development of the emotion of faith.” – Napoleon Hill

The Power Of Exposure

Maybe the meaning will become clearer after reading the following explanation explaining how some people sometimes become criminals. In the words of a famous criminologist, “When men first come into contact with crime, they abhor it. If they remain in contact with crime for a time, they become accustomed to it, and endure it. If they remain in contact with it long enough, they finally embrace it, and become influenced by it.”

This statement is the equivalent of saying that any thought-impulse which is repeatedly passed on to the subconscious mind is, finally, accepted and acted upon by the subconscious mind, which proceeds to translate that impulse into its physical equivalent, by the most practical method available.

Relate And Understand

Undoubtedly you can find at least some ounce of truth and understanding in this statement, particularly in this age of increased crime, acceptance, and justification. The more we all, as society, are exposed to crimes through daily news accounts and the media, the more immune we become to it. At times we even find ourselves justifying the actions of the criminals we see, or empathizing with their dilemma(s) which we feel apparently drove them to their crimes. And as we see more and more powerful and famous criminals hardly paying for their crimes, it crosses our minds that we are working too hard to live honestly when so many are doing so well by living dishonestly.

Positive Reinforcement

Of course, the majority of us will not go that route, but still the thought remains. A better interpretation of these events would be the message that Hill is trying to communicate—that simply exposing your thoughts to positivity and achievement, and directing them in that way rather than the alternative, is a pathway to success—and one that anyone can do, regardless of income, status, or any other supposed requirement. That simple power of positive reinforcement is enough to tip the balance to a life of success and contentment.

ditto current financial markets and so called reality of economics. We are in the biggest spoon fed spiral of mass hysteria seen for generations. Try pulling a few mates together and acually asking the question “so what has really changed between now and last year?” surprisingly little but the worlds collective confidence is taking a hammering! you can see the negative drain on the collective just as if it were an individual person.
