I haven't seen that poem before, but I like it.
What a lot of people (I think) don't realize is that you can re-negotiate with life even later. This argument "I am too old for that" is a very lame excuse in my eyes. Yes, there might be challenges that you wouldn't have had 20 years ago. But there will evenly be things that are much easier for you now than 20 years before.
If you don't ask or say what you want - who is supposed to know? So, ask for what you really want, be willing to put in your part, and see what happens.

Hi Sean,

This poem always reminds me that the quality of my life will be determined by what I demand of myself. I feel if I settle for anything less than what I truly want; I will be cheating myself of the life I deserve.

I have to be willing to work hard for what I want. I have to know what I want and I have to be disciplined in my pursuit of success. If I'm to be successful, I have to be willing to demand the very best from myself and from life.

I am setting my demands high.

Hi KC. I'm not sure what has happened. I was wondering what Tommy had responded to, but I have never seen one. I'm afraid that it may have been accidently deleted through all the SPAM posts I get here in the blog.

Sorry for any inconvenience.
