There are some basic things worth knowing about the secret to wealth creation, as Napoleon Hill discovered. He talks about the secret and its universal availability to all people in his original forward.
“A peculiar thing about this secret is that those who once acquire it and use it find themselves literally swept on to success, with but little effort, and they never again submit to failure! If you doubt this, study the names of those who have used it, wherever they have been mentioned, check their records for yourself, and be convinced. “There is no such thing as something for nothing! “The secret to which I refer cannot be had without a price, although the price is far less than its value. It cannot be had at any price by those who are not intentionally searching for it. It cannot be given away, it cannot be purchased for money, for the reason that it comes in two parts. One part is already in possession of those who are ready for it.”
Wealth Creation Secret
Hill is basically saying two things here:
1) the secret to wealth creation is not overly complicated, and is within the reach of anybody, regardless of wealth, handicap, education, or location,
and
2) obtaining and utilizing the secret requires effort on the part of the seeker; you won’t get rich sitting by waiting for an opportunity to come your way, you have to take an active role in your own wealth creation.
Hill doesn’t present this to scare away the reader—exactly the opposite; he puts this informational tidbit upfront so that you can prepare yourself for some worthwhile effort, but also realize that wealth is certainly within your reach.
I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

One need not look far to see proof, hey Sean?
LOL. I suppose not. We are all surrounded by success. It is within us all. We just need to ‘unleash’ it.
I agree Sean, that success is within all of us. I watched a Will Smith interview and he said something very similiar. That every person’s personal power is their ability to belief in possibility. Success is available to everyone if they believe.
Hi John
Spot on! And we all do believe that, don’t we?
Hello Sean, I cant even remember how I came across 21st century academy, yourself, and Mindset Mastery, but i am so glad that i have. I am actively striving to live by Napoleon Hills 13 principals and i know my life is changing for the better, still trying to pin point the secret but i know it will become clearer in time.
Peace.
Hi Tangitehau
Fantastic! It pleases me to hear from people that have received a positive influence from anything I blog about.
Thank you!
Hi Sean,
If we are really serious about being successful we have to be prepared to do some of the heavy lifting. I think it’s enough that Hill believes that anyone can be successful regardless of their individual circumstances. So, I don’t think it’s too much to ask that we do the work necessary to create our own success.
Hi Sean,
Very interesting….we will see how all this pans out.
This is a real teaser at the moment!
Jill.
Ready and roaring to go!

There seem to be degrees of mastery of this Wealth Creation Secret. Amongst those who successfully use this secret, some do it better than others. I guess it is like a diamond. On Moh’s hardness scale a diamond is 10, indicating the hardest. But some diamonds are much harder than others even tho Moh registers them at only 10.

Most people hope for the secret to be some magic formula that you say three times a day and that’s it. Like they think you just have to think positive thoughts and everything will be fine.
The most important ingredients is action – that we have to keep in mind.

Hi Sean,
How do you know if you are ready for it and if you are not how do you change this so that you are ready for it?
I am almost getting annoyed here trying to work out what the secret is…..is it persistence?

Hi Jill,
I think you’re ready for it because you’re looking for it. By searching for the answer you’ll find what you’re looking for. You’re showing that you’re ready for the secret to be revealed to you by your behaviour.
It’s most frustrating when you’re the closest to it.

Anything worth doing requires some effort at the least. And, if it’s worth doing, then it must be done well.
Very well said Elizabeth.
And especially as normally doing something well and not doing it well will cost more or less the same amount of time, so why not do it well if you have to do it anyway??

Great reasoning there Renee. And if it is not done properly it will be a waste of time because it will have to be done again.
The saying is do it right the first time (or at least give it your all).
That’s so true. It’s so important to have positive intention and focus on what we want yet without taking any action it’s only a wish.
G’day Sean,
That was a most succinct explanation of Mr Hill’s statement. By putting it in more modern style of language you’ve made the points strongly.
Most nay-sayers about “different ” ways of doing business, sit around thinking and scratching their bums without actually DOING anything or taking any action. They’re the ones who are first to say ” this doesn’t work”
AS you often say there are lookers and action takers. Don’t have time to be a looker ! Statements such as clause 2 above remind me of the SLOA chapter on Efficient Action.
Cheers
Harry

Hi Sean
TAGR has been my constant companion for many years. Thanks to you refreshing my memory, I have a renewed passion to re read it again.
There are 2 steps that really stand out for me in TAGR. One is that you must have a burning desire to attain riches and then you need to take action towards your goal and to see it made manifest (by your actions that is)
From the first time I picked the book up many years ago, those two steps have been paramount to my understanding of what Napoleon was conveying.

Its interesting when we start to believe it is all within us . we attract better luck not by coincidence.
When we learn how to receive the abundance things comes easily..
Often the abundance has always been there John and we only see it when we stop the negative thinking.
That in itself can be a secret to discover. Often it can happen with a change of perspective.
