Feel it, think it, live it, see it, be it. For it to happen, we at least need to imagine it for starters. And Barnes did. When your dream becomes your passion, and your passion becomes a burning desire that strips away everything except the truth of that which has become your life’s goal, then reality shifts so that it reflects your will.

Hi Erika,

I think those unfocused days are just a fact of being human. I’m sure that Barnes would have had the odd day where he felt a little like he wasn’t 100% in the moment. It would take a lot of energy to do that and I’m not sure it’s possible.

Everyone needs some time off. I think it’s important to chase after your burning desire with all your might. Think it, feel it and live it. But, it’s definitely okay to take breather to renew your efforts tomorrow.

I love this story and would like to store it away for those particularlly unfocused days! I think the kind of focus Barnes showed would be viewed as obsessive in this modern world- but there’s nothing wrong with focused drive and determination- I need heaps more of that! I guess it would be easy to look from the outside and call Barnes success “luck” but if you experienced with him the burn, you’d not dare call it luck- you’d call it inevitable! I’m hoping for a lot of inevitable success in my own world! tx for the boost sean! e

It just goes to show that it really doesn’t matter what you look like. It’s what’s in your heart and mind that matters and if you can adequately convey that to other people.

This reminds me of Susan Boyle. Susan was definitely a diamond in the rough. I bet when she stepped onto the stage, she had the thoughts of a king; even if she didn’t look like one. Once she started to sing; it didn’t matter that her look wasn’t what we expected.

Hi Sean

It tells us that it is worthwhile to persevere, no matter how long it takes. It qualifies all our efforts and striving to reach our goals. It makes any of us able to succeed like Barnes if we wish to be so dedicated.

It is giving us the the thumbs up with space and time to take action on our visions of how we want our lives to be.

It screams at us ” You can do it”!
