Mindset Mastery 32 – The Simplicity Of Wealth Creation

by Sean Rasmussen on August 11, 2008

Mindset Mastery Ebook By Sean RasmussenWealth creation is not really a complicated endeavor, leastwise not once you learn the secret and science involved.

“One sound idea is all it takes for a person to achieve success. The principles described in this book contain the best, and the most practical, ways and means of creating useful ideas.

There is one point the author would like to point out before delving into the description of these principles; it is this—when wealth does start to come to you it comes so quickly, in such great abundance, that you will likely find yourself wondering where it has been hiding during all those lean years. This is an astounding statement, and even more so, when you take into consideration the popular belief that wealth only comes to those who work long and hard.

When you begin to think and grow rich, you’ll notice that wealth creation begins with a state of mind, with a definite purpose, with little or no hard work. You, and every other person, should be most interested in knowing how to nurture that state of mind which will attract wealth. The author spent twenty-five years researching, analyzing more than 25,000 people, because he, too, wanted to know how rich people get that way.

Without that research, this book could not have been written.”

And before you even learn all of the 13 principles to wealth creation, you can start on your path by taking that first step—preparing your mind, developing the state of mind of a wealthy, successful person. You can enhance your developed state of mind as we move on through this book and the Universal Wealth Creation systems.

As Napoleon Hill says, it all starts with one thought. Surely you can find enough time in your busy day for one thought today.

I will see you back here every Monday and Thursday for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

I just love the way it is.

Every thought, (and I mean ‘every’ thought), is a creation. Just like a seed planted in some soil, in due time the seed will sprout.

So too will a thought. Sure, a thought can be countered by an equal but opposite thought, i.e. you decide not to water the seed, you decide not to re-inforce a good thought instead offering a ‘but or if’ and then you negate the good thought.

And this is where awareness comes in.

I just love it

Hi Sean,
When we were young, we were always told that if you work hard you will be successful. There was very little advice around developing the right mindset to achieve success.
Now, I spend my time working on the mindset I need to achieve success and fine-tuning my ‘definite purpose’. I think that when I truly have the right mindset, success will be just around the corner.

Hi Jazz. It sounds like you gre up in the same misinformed era as myself (born in the 1950’s). It is an indictment on the educators of the time that there was no attitudinal mentoring in relation to preparing kids for their future. We can read and write and spell and do maths but had little understanding how business worked, what the monetary system was or how to acheive personal growth beyond the 3 R’s.

In Sean’s post is the line “…You, and every other person, should be most interested in knowing how to nurture that state of mind which will attract wealth.” Well I most certainly agree with that. If someone had have taken the time to teach even basic things like the time-value of money and how leveraging works I would be more financially independant than I am now. I am pleased that people like Robert Kyosaki are putting this sort of information out there in an easy to digest form such as his Rich Dad, Poor Dad book.

Hi Ray,

Yes, that’s pretty much how it was back then. We owe it our children and grandchildren to teach them these principles as we go along. Now that we know that there’s a way to create a better life, we have a responsibility to pass it on to all those people who matter so much to us.

Reply

Wal Heinrich April 7, 2010 at 10:59 am

I agree, Ray, but we can’t blame anyone. Everyone was in the same ignorance boat. If we could have done better we would have. Even when I read TAGR in the late 60’s, I went as far as I could at the time, but no one else I knew was into it at the time and so I didn’t find a mentor or even someone to talk to intelligently about it. But using the principals did get me results and that was the direction I went in.

Hi Sean,
as humans we have the capacity to create – and every creation, every business, everything we create starts with a thought, an idea, a dream.
It’s fascinating for me to see that in Napoleon Hills time already the same issues existed and somehow we have not evolved in that area, even so we have come a long way. Books like his and the underlying principals should be taught at school so it becomes second nature for everybody to create the best possible mindset.
I will read the book once more :)

No finance education or what is possible with the right mindset. Thankfully there are people out there that are trying to correct the situation. No thanks to the so called leaders in our society.

More young people need to learn from the mistake of the previous generation – that simply working hard, getting a good job and relying on super is not going to cut it by the time they “retire” in the 21st century.

My experience is that each generation has it’s own lessons to learn. That one appears to be the lesson for the future, but I bet in 50 years there will be other lessons for the present young people to learn.

G’day Sean,
One example I know of which is ONE SIMPLE IDEA is the history of the Billabong brand of surf and sports wear. It started with a husband and wife hand cutting and hand sewing material on their kitchen table in our local Gold Coast area. Not sure about their marketing strategy then, but imagine the local surf clubs and markets had a hand in their progress. Now they are huge internationally.

My real estate journey started in 2004 after many readings of TAGR and similar books and by 2008 I had 4 properties. Long way to go, and YOTA is a constant inspiration.
Thankyou for your generosity with the Ebook of TAGR which I’ve passed on to heaps.

That is the most important thing to get right before you can create wealth on your life. If it was share trading, Internet marketing, property or a business. If you don’t have the right mindset you will always fail. I think that the most important ingredient to success is faith, faith in yourself apart from mindset. All the success principles mentioned in the book Think & Grow Rich are important but mindset and faith are the stand out.

Richard Colum March 25, 2010 at 3:50 pm

Yes that is very evident in Napoleon Hills book Keys to success chapter 4 where it talks about overcoming disbelief, fear, replacing it with hope and demonstrate the power of your faith. this was a good read.

This is good advice I feel that what you say here is so true. In particular you state that the author has put 25 years into working out how and studying 25,000 people , and then telling how it is to be done from his knowledge of that time..

He must have been happy doing it as it wouldn’t make sense to study what makes people successful if he didn’t feel like a success himself. That is a lot of people and a lot of time – if people knew of someone doing that today he would be ridiculed for “wasting” so much time on one thing. Do you think he was ridiculed in his time or celebrated?

Now you mention it, Richard, 25000 is a lot of people. That’s 1000 per year? That’s a lot of work. Napoleon must have worked extremely hard.

One thought… one seed planted into the ground and watered & fertilised regularly will manifest a beautiful tree of your desire. Start with one – it’s all you need to grow.

Simple yet so effective. But what happens when the thoughts start multiplying!!!!!

Tend them all, Sam. If you only have time to ensure one grows, then place the others in suspended animation ( hey – is that what happens when we take the “oomph” out of an idea?). Then when the first has grown, it will nurture the next seed you choose to bring forth. You get to choose which one, when.. and you can have it all.

wealth creation begins with a state of mind, with a definite purpose, with little or no hard work.
and
how to nurture that state of mind which will attract wealth.
and
preparing your mind, developing the state of mind of a wealthy, successful person.

Hi Sean
I always remember what Mr Hill taught first and that was the six steps or the six ‘definitive’ steps as he called them.

The very first step was to determine exactly what it was that you desired. This sounds like common sense I know but so often we don’t do that. We might say “I want to go on a holiday, this year”. We need to be precise and chunk down our large ‘out there’ desires into small manageable peices.
Then we would be saying “I will be holidaying in Spain for 2 weeks in October of this year” (you can chunk it down even more with actual dates of departure etc).

When we make statements like this, we are making a positive affirmation that we are committing to this desire, to make it come to fruition. So there you have the first step.

Blessings,
Elly

Hi Elly,

The positive affirmation that’s teamed with the visualisation of what you desire is a really powerful combination. You have to convince your mind that it’s already in your life.

When you make your mind believe, it will manifest the very thing you desire into your life. I find that it takes me some time to actually convince my mind that what I’m picturing is real. There’s still a delay but I’m working on it.

Wealth creation is something that is on my mind every day, all day long. I want to think and grow rich as Napoleon Hill’s book talks about. I constantly have the ideas being promoted here running through my mind. I even dream about it! I know that things will start popping for me soon. As long as I keep working on my mindset and keep studying and believing, I will have the success I want and deserve.

Hi Sean,

It’s so important to know exactly what you want and then to go for it. That’s the simplicity of the wealth creation ideas in this post.

I find that’s the hardest thing to do. To know exactly what it is that I want.
