I love The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. It’s one of my favourite books. I think he was an amazing man and I’m really grateful I’ve had the opportunity to watch his Last Lecture online.

It definitely changes the way you look at life and living.

Too many people like wealth with money like they do success with popularity. The most publicized celebrities are considered the most successful while I feel success can lie in the modesty and ability to avoid the spotlight, directing it to others who want to be the headlines and top news stories. I’d much rather sit back and enjoy my successes by myself and spread the “wealth” around anonymously.

I appreciate the compliment and, may I say, accurate insight lol . Nah… I’m pretty modest and happy to be surrounding myself with such brilliance and positivity. I have to say I’ve been waiting for this experience all my life and am grateful I found it so soon (I’m just a young lass).

I’m certainly an action taker. I only listen to tv now, getting so much done while it’s playing and I have goals in mind that I love accomplishing for myself and the time left over I love helping / encouraging others. I hope to be an inspiration to my son, at the very least, but know I’m always striving to be an inspiration to strangers – in combination the ultimate experience.

Poeple that want to do nothing will also receive nothing. If you want to get something you have to go for it and take action. Doing nothing will result in exactly that – nothing.

Hi Sarah,
I fully agree. Even so it seems to be normal to talk about financial wealth there are so many other areas where one can be wealthy or poor. For most of us it is not actually the money we want, but the lifestyle. Doing what we love, being with our friends, having all that we need. By finding out what we really want the money for we do the first step towards attaining it.
