Mindset Mastery 16 – Barnes On Persistence

Mindset Mastery Ebook By Sean RasmussenIt’s important to know that no one is saying that knowing and utilizing the secret, or following the thirteen principles and being definite in thought, means that you will get rich quick; your life can change in a relatively short period of time, but nothing worthwhile happens overnight. Like Barnes, building wealth takes initiative and planning, and a healthy dose of patience and follow-through.

“Barnes did not instantly become Edison’s partner at his first interview. He did get a chance to work in the Edison offices, at a very nominal wage, doing work that was unimportant to Thomas Edison; but that work was most important to Barnes, because it gave him an opportunity to display his “merchandise” where his intended “partner” could see it.

“Months went by. Apparently nothing happened to bring the coveted goal which Edwin Barnes had set up in his mind as his definite major purpose. But something important was happening in Barnes’ mind. He was constantly intensifying his desire to become the business associate of Edison.”

The First Step To Wealth Creation

Putting yourself in line for success and wealth creation is an essential first step; nothing fruitful can happen if you do not take that first step, and place yourself in the path of possibility.

I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

Hi Sean,

Just spend and awsome weekend with Mark Rolton in Sydney for the Property Options Workshop. As you say, nothing happens quickly but if armed with the right tools, it is all there in front of you. Just a llittle hard work and you can have it all. I’m on that path. My life is not easy with 3 young children under 5, a business to run, a house to keep and property options to pursue but if I can do it with all that on my plate then I don’t really want to hear excuses from people as to why they cannot achieve too. Turn off that TV. Devote 1 hour a night to your goals and dreams and make it a reality. Change your mindset and you change your life.

Can you tell I’m feeling empowered? :-)

Regards, Eileen.

Hi Eileen
Empowered is the word! Sound like you have found your “Needs” (Mark Rolton pun).
1 hour is not a lot to invest towards a bright future… I agree :D

Really good post!

I totally agree with Brans that success and wealth doesn’t happens overnight, it’s not any magic – we have to work hard for it and the most important thing is the initiative & planning step towards our focus.

Hi Sean,

I think by mastering the principles of success we improve our chances of succeeding and achieving our goals. Changing our life starts with changing our thinking.

I really agree with putting yourself in the path of success. I think we have to know what our goals are and find some small way to bring it into our life. I love the way Barnes just put himself in a place where he could show Edison what he was capable of.

I think like Barnes we have to be clear about what we want and then be willing to work hard for it, regardless of how long it takes to get what we want.
