The company you keep is really important. Because it has a big influence on what you do, what you read, how you talk and what you think is "normal" and can be achieved. So if you want to reach high you better surround yourself with people that are there already, may it be in form of a mentor, books they wrote or about them, attending seminars they give and so on. There is endless opportunities to make sure you have heroes and positive role models in your life.

Hi Jill,
that's a great example of the influence you have yourself of setting your task up for failure or success. I am sure it is also possible while you stay around people that do the things you want to give up, but why make it un-necessarily hard on yourself?

Hi Sean,

I agree that success and failure are both habits. If we make it a habit to compromise what we want, we are setting ourselves up for failure. We need to have the courage to go after what we want and refuse to settle for anything less.

I love that Halpin didn't stay at a job he hated. I admire the fact that Halpin realized he needed to make a change and he had the courage to do it. I can learn a lot from Halpin.

Habit - It's the repetitive things we do on a daily basis that determines what we achieve in our lives. I just wish those good habits were easy to form...
