Don't get me wrong, if you have faith in your religion and take strength out of that, that's great. But I think even in the bible there is something that says "help yourself than god will help you". So I do need to believe in myself and take action. Than the rest will follow. Not the other way round. So - do as Hill did. I thought of this when I read your statement "Faith is not only personal; it is communal as well. It is not something you need keep to yourself." In this article a study was noted that indicated that happiness could be transmitted to neighbors and if a relative lived in the same community that the happy one could influence the other. I wonder what the study would show for faith. Personally I believe the findings would be similar. In order to better enjoy the world I live in I am choosing to be a "carrier".
