Hi Bev,

I think that learning to be persistent is the most important thing you can do. You have to be able to burn your bridges and keep going until you’ve achieved your goals.

It’s easy to maintain a successful mindset and persist when everything is going right. It’s not so easy when you can’t see your hard work and effort paying off.

I’m still learning to have faith and to keep persisting with my goals even when I can’t see the results. Sometimes, the need for financial security takes over.

Great advice Harry,

I also find that reading something of importance right before sleep helps to make it more concrete in my mind.

From reading Mindset Mastery I am learning that the key for me is persistence. It’s the easiest thing to do… to give up when the going gets hard. But to keep on going even when the results don’t look great, keep on going because deep down we know the work we do today in working to develop our own wealth, will pay off, maybe not tomorrow but maybe next week, next month or next year.

Each and every one of our positive efforts to take control of our own destiny does pay off!!

G’day Sean,
Barnes’ close to fanatical burning desire was the KEY to his long term achievement of his goal to be Thomas Edison’s business associate. I believe he also used visualisation and autosuggestion as a way of getting to his goal. I am currently reading Mindset Mastery a little each day and reading the Autosuggestion chapter each night before getting some

Hi Sean,
To not take your eyes-off-the-prize can be a really hard thing to do sometimes that is unless one is totally committed from the beginning as was Edwin Barnes.

I’m getting better at it because I am becoming more aware of what I want and need to do to get it. I am developing a whatever it takes attitude. Hopefully over time I will adopt the single mindedness to quickly go after what I want and see it through until I achieve it.
