Now that you have educated yourself as to what holds you back, and completed the self-analysis questionnaire, it’s time for the ultimate step—action!
The Plan
Having read and assimilated the information in this chapter, you are now ready to create a practical plan for marketing your personal services. In this chapter you have found an adequate description of every principle essential in planning the sale of personal services, including the major attributes of leadership; the most common causes of failure in leadership; a description of the fields of opportunity for leadership; the main causes of failure in all walks of life, and the important questions which should be used in self-analysis. This extensive and detailed presentation of accurate information has been included, because it will be needed by all whose wealth creation begins with the accumulation of riches by marketing personal services. Those who have no upfront capital or those who are just beginning to earn money have nothing but personal services to offer in return for riches, therefore it is essential that they have available the practical information needed to market services to best advantage. What’s more, there has never been a better way to quickly get into business than by offering personal services via the internet.
New Leaders
The information contained in this chapter will be of great value to all who aspire to attain leadership in any calling. It will be particularly helpful to those aiming to market their services as business, technology, or industrial executives.
Complete assimilation and understanding of the information conveyed here will be helpful in marketing one’s own services, and it will also help one to become more analytical and capable of judging people. The information will be priceless to personnel directors, employment managers, and other executives in charge of hiring employees, and the maintenance of efficient organizations. If you doubt this statement, test its soundness by answering (in writing) the twenty-eight self-analysis questions. That might be both interesting and profitable, even if you do not doubt the soundness of the statement.
Applied Knowledge
Napoleon Hill has created these lists and written this chapter with the main focus being to market your personal services. However, this is excellent information that can be applied to so much of life across the board, and should be considered for every wealth creation endeavor you take off on.

It’s one thing I have never been great at – is the planning. I am more of a “creator” – so when I think about sitting down & making a “plan” it makes me feel like getting a note from Mum explaining to myself that I can’t make it in today because I “feel sick.”
Sorry – can’t help but poke fun at myself!! Great leaders become great leaders because they decide, plan, and take action. We’ll get there….

I’m like you. My teachers would always try to get me to brainstorm the story, plot the conflicts, introduction and conclusion before writing the story. Finding this a waste of time I had the tendency of sitting down, writing the story in record time and then spending a few minutes to complete the brainstorm and pass it in with the completed story. They never knew the difference but I did. The story was much better as it surprised me and kept me writing. Such is life.

I like the idea of “new leaders”. Although fundamental leadership qualities won’t change over time, certain skills will be valued more than ever going farther into this century. The Self-Analysis can very confronting, but what better leadership than to first be honest with yourself.

Hi Sean,
Self assessment is never easy and yet, if you can be honest about the areas that you need to work on, you increase your chances of success. Assuming that you’re willing to make the changes necessary. And, I am.
Planning, however, is something that comes a little easier to me. Making plans always feel like I’m writing a magical recipe which if followed to the letter will create spectacular results.
That’s right Jazz, self-assessment is never easy. But not doing it can mean missing out on finding out who we really are & reaching our full potential.
Putting yourself under the spotlight with an honest hard-look at where you are now & asking yourself what can be improved for further success now.

Hi Sean,
I should be ready soon to piece it all together in a plan to take action in marketing my personal services. Rome wasn’t built in a day however I do feel a lot closer to my goals with the knowledge I have acquired through these blogs.
Thanks Sean,
