Hi Lina,

I'm with you. It's isn't for the faint-hearted but fortune favours the brave or so they say. I always find that the greater the risk you take, the greater the reward.

Every time I go out on a limb, I find that I can make a success of any situation. Then again, persistence does play a huge part. :)

I think that the 4th and 5th point are the kernel of that list - finishing with "Concentrate on what you can give." ..... which when you consider it is a good motto and goal for internet marketing - in any of its forms.

Hi Sean

I really like this article because of it's positive drive to help you know how to succeed in the workplace.

This is not only great information for those who want to get the exact position they desire but also great advice for people wanting to win a contract or go into a joint venture.

It will require a bit of tweaking but it teaches us how to show initiative, drive, forward thinking, self confidence, ability to be self motivated and ideas/planning abilities to name a few. All the things employers look for in a prospective employee.

The company you want to work for may not pay as much as you want in the beginning but if you're happy where you are you'll get there. I left a job I hated, sacrificed a few thousand a year but love where I went and now make more than I ever could have at my other job. That was the scariest risk I took, career wise, and it paid off wonderfully. I love to write and am in a position where I can be a full time writer with a paycheck that reflects that. I'm inspired in my full time job even more to come home and write fiction but absolutely love the position I'm in and the fact that I have a regular income.

I think it is brilliant to "create your own job", find the company you want to work in and convince them that they must have you. That shows a lot of (leadership) qualities, determination and trust in your own ability.
