I have come to think it’s a great tragedy that we don’t teach our children to follow their dreams. I’m still learning to pursue mine. I’ve always been so busy taking care of my responsibilities that I didn’t even consider doing something I felt passionately about.

Luckily though, life is for learning and I’ve learned that following your dreams is the only way to live your life. I am very grateful to belong to the YOTA forum. It’s changing my life.

I guess though that it is a bit like riding a bicycle – once you have really mastered it you will not forget everything, but you definitely loose the ease in doing things that you don’t practice.

unfortunately we are not taught at school about the importance of our dreams and no one helps us to find the knowledge we need to achieve our real goals. Instead we learn something that promises a lot of money.

Luckily we can continue to learn new things all our life and hopefully figure it out sooner or later that we can realize our dreams – we just have to get going

You’re right; persistence and passion can make up for a lack of knowledge. Besides, we need to know what kind of knowledge we need to be successful and that’s something different for each of us.

We need to be clear about what our dream is and then educate ourselves accordingly. We have to be willing to take action and keep persisting until we achieve our goals.

I have even noticed this during the short time learning IM. If I don’t use a newly learned skill regularly it is replaced by something else until I come across the learning and pick it up again.

It’s all very interesting.
