Mindset Mastery 140 – Organized Planning

Mindset Mastery eBookAmazingly enough, we have already worked our way through six chapters of Napoleon Hill’s classic, Think and Grow Rich, revised and retitled, Mindset Mastery. This brings us to the beginning of Chapter 7 and the sixth step toward riches.

Organized Planning – The Crystallization Of Desire into Action
The Sixth Step Toward Riches

You’ve learned that everything man creates or acquires begins in the form of desire; that desire is taken, on the first Courtesy Wikipedialap of its journey, from the abstract to the concrete, into the workshop of the imagination, where plans for its transition are created and organized.

In Chapter two, you were instructed to take six definite, practical steps, as your first move in translating the desire for money into its monetary equivalent. One of these steps is the formation of a definite, practical plan, or plans, through which this transformation may be made.

Steps For Definite Action

The instructions you are given now will teach you how to build plans which will be practical:

a) Ally yourself with a group of as many people as you need for the creation and carrying out of your plan, or plans, for the accumulation of money—making use of the “Master Mind” principle described in a later chapter. (Compliance with this instruction is absolutely essential. Do not neglect it.)
b) Before forming your “Master Mind” alliance, decide what advantages and benefits, you may offer the individual members of your group, in return for their cooperation. No one will work indefinitely without some form of compensation. No intelligent person will either request or expect another to work without adequate compensation, although this may not always be in the form of money.
c) Arrange to meet with the members of your “Master Mind” group at least twice a week, and more often if possible, until you have jointly perfected the necessary plan, or plans for the accumulation of wealth.
d) Maintain perfect harmony between yourself and every member of your “Master Mind” group. If you fail to carry out this instruction to the letter, you can expect to meet with failure. The “Master Mind” principle cannot obtain where perfect harmony does not prevail.

Two Things To Remember

Keep these facts in mind:

First. You are engaged in an undertaking of major importance to you. To be sure of success, you must have plans which are faultless.
Second. You must have the advantage of the experience, education, native ability and imagination of other minds. This is in harmony with the methods followed by every person who has accumulated a great fortune.

No individual has sufficient experience, education, native ability, and knowledge to insure the accumulation of great wealth, without the cooperation of other people. Every plan you adopt, in your endeavor to accumulate wealth, should be the joint creation of yourself and every other member of your “Master Mind” group. You may originate your own plans, either in whole or in part, but see that those plans are checked and approved by the members of your “Master Mind” alliance.

Cooperation

This brings us here, to a sort of Mastermind group of our own, to our own cooperative efforts to aid one another in wealth and success. What a wonderful ride it has been! But it’s not nearly over yet, there’s much to be done and discussed. Ready yourself for Napoleon Hill’s next eye-opening phase of the Mindset Mastery series and the sixth essential step toward wealth.

  1. Sean, I love the breakdown that you did in this post. Have you ever written anything about choice management and the fact that many people confuse that with organization and time management?

  2. Apart from having a plan and executing the plan as close as possible to what you have originally set out, I believe that it is very important to be involved with a group of people who have a similar mindset as you. This way the more you interact with those people the more accountable you become for your actions (and actually having to take action).

I guess it can be a type of catalyst for kicking into action.

  3. Hi Sean,

It’s not that easy to find a group of like minded people.

Left to my own devices I could think of only one or two people in my immediate circle of contacts who I would could include with confident that they are suitable where perfect harmony would prevail. The YOTA forum is another opportunity to be with like minded people. You Sean, have structured the forum very well to be geared for success at wealth creation. This is as I see it.

    • Hi Jill,

I think the YOTA forum is a great place for us to be around like-minded people. It’s a great atmosphere in there. Everyone is willing to work together to help each other be successful.

I think this can be a rare thing in life. Often times people are way too busy with their own stuff that they don’t make time for anyone else. This is not the case in the forum.

  4. Ah, so this is where the idea for the YOTA forum was born! The YOTA forum is definitely our mastermind group, of like-minded people who are willing to share, learn, grow and support.

  5. so for a master mind group to work, the group needs to meet at least twice a week, be respectful, have a harmony feel amongst all members, add value to the group, have a group that works with a plan, add knowledge to creat the wealth amongst the group. Ok – wondering how many needs to be in the group. If you are meeting twice a week, I am thinking it needs to be a decent size group so that ideas can bounce back and forwards amongst eveyone? Mmm – I am thinking our group is too small, and we have too few ideas….Perfect, will work on improving our Master Mind group to be successful. Thanks for the knowledge 🙂

    • Hi Lisa,

I am not sure if you really need a big group. Once you have your idea, too many people can go of in very different directions. I understood that it is to have all the knowledge you need to realize your idea and possibly to help the others to realize theirs. But good question …

    Hi Sean,

Being part of the YOTA forum gives me the opportunity to be around like-minded people. It helps to interact with people who are trying to be successful too.

We can all learn and grow together, share thoughts and ideas. Rejoice in each others successes, encourage and motivate each other when we have setbacks.

  7. Does the forum count as my master mind group? Also Internet Marketing is something that I (supposedly 😉 ) can do by myself from home. So what does count?

For me the forum does qualify, as it allows me to learn, I don’t need to know everything, I get great feedback and support at all times. I think that will do 🙂
    .-= Renee´s last blog ..Motivational Music =-.

    • Hi Renee,

I definitely think the forum counts as our Master Mind group. We all have similar dreams to create freedom for ourselves. We all have different skill sets. We’re all willing to work together and help each other out.

I think that’s all we need. A group of like-minded people where we can bounce ideas off each other and who will support and encourage each other.

The YOTA forum is an excellent place to build our dreams.

  8. Thank you for helping me build my mastermind group, Sean. I have been and plan to continue to come back often. The combined brilliance and acceptance by everyone here is breath taking – you don’t often find so many like minded people with success on their minds and taking action to achieve it.

  9. Hi Sean,

thanks for putting this summary together. There’s already a lot of truth contained in the subtitle: The crystallization of desire into action.

How many law of attraction believers stop at desire and wonder why they don’t anywhere ?

They have to take action based on their burning desire. The most burning desire is worthless unless we take action according to practical plans.

    Take care

    Oliver
