Linkedin Social Networking

There are ways to use Linkedin to build your Social Networking skills. So far we have covered some basics, such as making a recommendation on another user’s profiles and of course; how to join Linkedin.

In the “Do You Feel Lucky” webinar, I introduced Linkedin to the For A Few Dollars More Internet Marketing competition. In a further update in the webinar Go Ahead Watch My YouTube, we spoke about making recommendations on Linkedin.

Claim Your 30 LinkedIn Points

You can claim your 30 Linkedin Points by commenting on this post. Mention LinkedIn in your comment and my never-tiring super-powered social media helper, Cherie, will reply to your comment when the points have been awarded. I will crack the whip (in the nicest way possible of course) to ensure it is done in a jiffy πŸ™‚

To get the points, you will need to have done the task set out in the webinar. If you have chosen to do this, 30 points will be allocated and a reply will be made to your Linkedin comment below.

More Social Networking Points

In the next webinar, you will get more avenues to score great points. Social Networking has never been this much fun! As a matter of fact, you will get a way to add multiples of 30 points per time for something that involves Alexa. It could be a great way to add 100 – 150 points to your tally very fast. Find out more on the next Learn And Earn webinar.

To check your points in the competition, go here.

Don’t worry about my personal points as I’m giving out the prizes; not collecting them πŸ˜‰

Escape From Alexa

There is no escape! Alexa is on the agenda in the next internet marketing webinar. There will some cool ways to super boost your points while you Learn And Earn.

You can register for the Alexa webinar here.

In this webinar I will also announce the winner of the Grand PooBah Incentive. The winner to work with me on the next SEO Case Study project.

Prepare for some fun and games with Linkedin, Alexa and the other social networking sites.

  1. Hi Sean, just watched your “go ahead. watch my youtube” video, congratulations on possibly your shortest ever webinar :p. Interesting to hear that LINKEDIN is pretty much an older, more professional version of facebook.

  2. Thanks Sean,

I’ve written you a superb recommendation on LinkedIn & just registered for the ‘Escape From Alexa – For A Few Dollars More’ webinar. This competition is starting to get very interesting with all the added tasks for generating points & I love the way you can boost your internet presence in doing so!

    • Thanks Jeremy.
We have lots of fun to come. I’m just trying to work out how I’m going to fit it all in πŸ˜‰

      • Sean,

Is it possible to have it extended to say 10 weeks?

Just gets more exciting everyday I log in and check the updates on Sean Rasmussen talks and the homework seems endless.
.-= Rose Kawe´s last blog ..Go Ahead Watch My YouTube- =-.

        • I don’t know what the learning content was in the first competition but maybe it would lead more nicely into a third instead of considering extending it.

Maybe something like ‘Go Ahead! Make Me Some Dollars!’

          • I agree
I don’t know if my family will be speaking to me if it continues past the end of July!

          • As it has been school holidays I have been robbing Peter to pay Paul and Paul is asking for some back now. However Paul knows he is going to get more than his original investment back so is happy with SOME compromise.

          • @ Bernadette – what’s this about robbing Peter? Keep your hands out of my wallet – the moths will escape!

          • Well I have to say that that aspect to my comment never even entered my head. Maybe I’ll open mine and my moths could be friends with yours?

And who knows what might happen. They might get into business together and keep us in the lifestyle we would be accustomed to enjoying!

    • Hi Jeremy
I have added 30 LinkedIn points to your score. Great to see your positive efforts with Sean’s Internet Marketing Competition. Fantastic πŸ™‚

  3. Clem and Erika schollum says:

yay! very excited- now we’ve done the task on Linkedin and are keen to get more details on just how to best utilise this! so we are happy to be part of the webinar- now just where do i register is something entirely different! rocky starts still- but learning at warp speed!

  4. Hi Sean
I’ve been a member of LinkedIn for a few months now. Making business connections is a very powerful tool.

I’ve been a member of LinkedIn for quite a few years as Donald E. White. Isn’t that professional looking. I linked to you awhile ago.

I see you accepted my LinkedIn recommendation. I did try to keep it all serious. πŸ™‚

And may I mention in passing, I’m having a ball with the “Lean and Earn” competition and meeting a lot of interesting new people. Not to mention increasing my knowledge of Internet Marketing strategies and techniques.

    Hi Sean
I love LinkedIn!!! As I commented on another blog of yours on LinkedIn, it is quite remarkable how many people (friends) I have connected with here that are not on the more popular social media sites. Politely, the more professional, and of course that enables me to connect with a more professional client base.
And LinkedIn is just so simple and easy to navigate and use. Yep, love it!!

    • geoff harnden says:

PS.. It was difficult to put my recommendation into words.
Won’t say any more than that. Enough said at “Sean Rasmussen Talks”

      • I think your few words that haven’t said that much speak volumes. I can see by the recommendations in LinkedIn from those who have know Sean a lot longer than me that he has inspired and directed them to change and achieve great things.

    • Hi Geoff
The Universe is a very special place and I have happily added 30 LinkedIn points to your tally. Everyday is a great day Geoff:)
