My Easter Message For 2008: Relax And Enjoy!

In this video, I also refer to some other videos. If you wish to view them, you’ll find them by following the link to my Universal Easter Message.

A Motivated Easter (and relaxed)

I have promised to publish 4 motivational posts this easter. If you’ll visit, I’ll commit to the posts. Today, I’ll simply give you a peaceful Easter Message from my friends from Malolo Island in Fiji. They truly know the meaning of tranquility and the true understanding of lifestyle and success: “Having an abundance of time”. I filmed this in Fiji during a holiday in January 2008.

The Malolo Island Bula Band: Tears In Heaven

These guys are not in a hurry! You can see another great video in the article about Gratitude For The Malolo Island Bula Band.

See you back here next time you visit.

Have a most outstanding day

Thanks Sean.

Tears in Heaven. I was thinking along those lines last night, besides it being Easter time, but also about something you said in your message.
(If Whiskey keeps appearing in videos, Holywood will hear about it and you’ll be signing contracts….. Whiskey will be famous… baaaa none!)

Anyway, money is not what people want.

WHAT!!!???

It’s true. Money is not what people want. People want the things that they cn have and get with money. Our focus and dreams are for better things than money. Money is just the car (or truck or freight-train!) that gets us where we want to be. Learning to drive safely is paramount to this picture.

I liked the simplicity of your friends, sitting around with wooden chairs, singing together and playing their instruments. Simplicity, heaven and beautiful things.

Things of value, things we value, we can often miss. Like you said, now is a good time to catch up with family and enjoy what we value.

Thanks Sean for reminding us of this.

Hope your time with your family is filled with beautiful moments.

Guy

May I say, that whilst excellent e-books/publications such as Mindset Mastery and the likes are an invaluable source of ‘Brain-Fodder’ to us who subscribe to this way of thinking, I really think that our mission should be to find some way to have them introduced into our secondry/tertiary levels of education as a compulsory component of the curriculum. All our youth problems of today appear to stem from the feelings of despair and hopelessness which confront them when they emerge from the education system totally unprepared for the mental challenges they face out in the “Real World”. Perhaps this subject should not be taught by some dis-illusioned – underpaid teacher, but by motivated volunteers who would have had to have previously gained some sort of accreditation to qualify. Not everyone has the capacity to handle the financial benefits from this style of thinking, but just imagine the world-wide benefit to society if we could teach them how to apply the moral and ethical aspects they would learn simply by applying the power of positive thinking in all of their daily activities.
Please keep up your excellent efforts,
Steve

PS. Your first volunteer if required

Thanks Guy.
I have had a great time with the family over the past 4 days. I have done (close to) nothing and lots of it! Last night, I played a computer game with my son for nearly 8 hours until 2am in the morning! A total waste of time on the computer and a fantastic investment in a memory with my son. Does that make sense? It does to me.

Whiskey (The Ram) isn’t interested in Hollywood fame. He’s got his 50 girlfriends and isn’t fussed about appearance, race, color, age or behaviour. He couldn’t care less about Easter, Fathers day, Birthdays, Christmas, Thanksgiving, Queens Birthday, Labor day or any occasion at all for that matter. There are no do’s or dont’s and no tabu’s. If there are earthquakes, tidal waves or buildings are bombed and toppled by governments or terrorists in a far away land, his life isn’t affected and he isn’t harrased by the authorities if he speaks his mind… Give him a green pasture, a few Ewes and a bag of Lupins (grain), any day, and he’s happy!

Yes, money is just the vehicle that we use to get to a destination. We don’t want money, we want the benefits.

Happy easter to you too, Guy. :)

Hi Steve. I’ll keep you in mind if something comes up.

I spoke to some “School Authorities” the other day. It was in regards to settling for kids being middle of the road, focusing on getting lower performers up to scratch (on topics they aren’t interested in), whilst the top performers are left to be bored with the incredibly easy tasks they are given. This is because they have to hold back to wait for the uninterested kids that would much rather be working on the topics they excell at.

Meanwhile the tables are turned in other topics. The same kids that are “wizards” in the other topic are “crap” at the new topic and the old “bottom” student are excelling.

Lets not ignore the slower student but lets also reward brilliance and build some self-esteem in our kids. Reward them when they are good. Don’t give them participation awards… that rewards mediocrizy (wow, I wasn’t one of the star English students!). I’ve got enough “sitting quietly on the matt awards” to start a library with.

Australia has one of the highest Teenage Suicide rates in the world. Like it or not, many kids leave School with a lower self-esteem than they arrive with. Sure there are plenty of star students and there are unfortunately far too many run of the mill kids that weren’t built up on their strenghts but rather kept up to scrath on the topics they were not so good at. Average is enough for a conformed society.

Our education system was designed hundreds of years ago and was outdated when a job ceased to be “a job for life”. It seems to do a better job of “conforming” our kids into society and making sure they “do the done thing”. I personally don’t know why I would make more money than a Doctor who went to university or (many) lawyers that work incredibly long hours (don’t they?)??? I did a 4 year apprenticeship as an Electrician. Mind you, I’m not doing that now. I’m doing the opposite of what they taught me in School (staying to the topics I like and getting better at them) whilst putting the others on the back burner).

Having said all that, Teachers are the backbone of society and I sympathise with them everytime they get screwed over by both left and right wing government around the world. Introducing a topic, such as the Mindset Mastery eBook, would meet much opposition from (normal) establishments and possibly brushed aside as nonsense by many. Should you however come across any Schools or teaching institutions that want to use this medium, I’ll be the first one to support it.

I believe we are entering an “age of ethics”. One of hightened awareness. One with people that wont buy into or accept lies of tales of WMD’s and chasing invisble enemies in caves that no one (credible) has seen. Meanwhile, our basic human rights are being taken away. Kids are innocent, clean minded little beings and they don’t care about religion, race or politics. Not until they have been through the first 10-12 years of School anyway…

As you can see, I have a few opinions on these things and they don’t surface in my blog (only in comments). They are likely to alienate and even offend people although they are not meant to do so. We all have opinions and none of us have the right to impose any of them as the “truth”, only as an “opinion”.

Thanks Steve. I’ll get off my soapbox now :)

Great to read more of your uplifting reflections. To focus on what is good, inspiring and hopeful in every situation reminds us of the infinite blessings in life. You can set your mental outlook at the highest possible level to invite abundance in health, spiritual connectedness, relationships and other meaningful experiences. As we each evolve on our own path, we become more aware of the higher and lower self, ego and we can learn to neutralize tendencies to be affected by emotional swings. To become an astute observer can help you avoid the impulse to judge, criticize yourself or impose your ideas on others. Easter reminds us of the opportunities for continuous revelations, rebirth and renewal.

Hi Sean,
It has only taken [IMO] two or three generations of relaxed [ABANDONED ? ] moral and ethical standards to produce the the outrageous number of disaffected/disillusioned/drug affected youth on our streets today. I am in no way blaming these unfortunate individuals for their predicament, as in a huge amount of cases their problems stem from the home environment. Something has to change to change the direction of this current mindset and mentality. In this particular situation, never has the age old adage of “IF NOTHING CHANGES—–THEN NOTHING CHANGES” been more true.
Wouldn,t it be wonderful [wasn't sure I could spell BLOODY MARVELOUSE] If we could instil into this generation of youngsters the principals and positives of positive thinking which could then be carried onto the next etc etc in a complete reversal of what has happened to recent generations. Generally speaking anthing that is “trendy”can have a snowballing effect if handled correctly. What a beaut snowball to have chasing you.
Now, how do we select the correct vehicle to implement this action ?????????????

Regards,
Steve

Maybe we need to turn back time to the 60’s and start reversing it from there… Who knows! What I do know is that we have a 50% divorce rate amongst couples married for less than 2 years here in Australia. It’s almost become abnormal to have 2 biological parents. Children are diagnosed with ADD or ADHD at (what seems) first opportunity and the same children are being pumped full of drugs when they are being chocked up with stacks of sugar, food colorings, chemicals, carcinogens and radiated foods. A Doctor I know doesn’t call it ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). He calls it PDD (Parental Deficit Disorder).
I sympathise with parents who have to go through childrens disorders and wish there was no such thing.
Bless anyone who has to put up with it and I wish them all the strenght they need.

Could not agree more.

What about a little light hearted humour ?

Because we are such clever creatures, We can genetically modify our grains and animals and we can clone sheep and grow an ear on a mouses bum, why can,t we isolate the gene that controls GREED ? and remove it from the human race. You can tell I was only joking, otherwise I would have recomended first practising on top level drug ,alcohol and chemical company execs. Hey guys, you know I was only joking when I included those types as membrs of the human race.

Regards to all,
Steve

If we removed greed, the human race might not be recognizable :)

Good call regarding prioritising lifestyle. It is all to easy to get caught up in things, particularly when trying to break out of the 9-5 daily grind when there is a serious amount of effort required. But it is important not to let other important things slip (such as family and loved ones) while doing so.

Guy makes a good point regarding money versus lifestyle. I agree that money is merely a tool – a means to an end. It is important to have a clear purpose in pursuing money. If it is money for money’s sake then this can cause a whole lot of problems. But if one pursues money in order to be able to unlock an incredible lifestyle, then this is a completely different journey and this will affect both the way we go about earning money and ultimately where we want to end up.

Great to see another video from the Coconut Tree Bula Band – they certainty seem to be enjoying the juice of life.

Hey, I’ve found a page not yet commented on by Jazz and Renee! To some people, perhaps in a subset of people who don’t crave money and power, success means being relaxed and happy. Don’t worry, be happy!
