"Newfeeling" is a great way to turn a negative into a positive!

I try to always look to the bright side if I'm in a challenging situation, but all too often I still jump to an anger-reaction first (with much swearing involved!..) before settling into the thought that it's not the situation that is the problem, so much as MY reaction to it.

To be able to teach kids from the start to react in a more positive fashion to new challenges & arming them with an empowering vocabulary, will help to curb many of the self-esteem & peer pressure problems that arise in their lives. Excellent post! ;)

Hi Renee,

I loved this about Mr Spok. I think the words we use have incredible power. We can change the way we feel about something just by changing the words we use to describe it.

This 'newfeeling' post is one of my absolute favourites.

Hi Elly,

I love your saying. I'm really going to have to work at it though. I can't say that it'll come naturally for me right now, but maybe one day soon. :)

Words are so powerful. I work really hard at changing negative words into positive ones. Also, I try to use words that minimise the power of certain words. Some words just seem to inflame feelings and others calm them down.

I think it's just a matter of playing with different ways of saying and thinking things until you find what really works for you.

Hi Sean,
Over the past couple of years I too have been actively changing from negative to positive, most of the time I do achieve that. so I too like the concept of "Newfeeling"
I can also use it to help my Grand children with their Newfeelings"

I have been an advocate for replacing negative thinking/feeling with positive for a very long time. As a student of metaphysics and an energy worker, it's imperative that I work constantly at putting out only positive vibes/energy/thoughts. I love the concept of "Newfeeling"! It's a wonderful idea! :D
