Sean says "...Success isn’t all about wealth (or money), rather more about lifestyle and having time to do the things we enjoy...."

Yes yes yes yes yes. That's it for sure. If you can't do all that you want to do then you're not a sccess.

An online dictionary defines success as "The achievement of something desired, planned, or attempted:" which means that success can be many different things to many differnt people.

Hi Sean,

I read somewhere that true wealth is doing what you love regardless of what you get paid. I think for me, success and wealth is not about driving the best car or having the fanciest house. It is about having choices and opportunities.

I have to say I agree with your statement that gratitude is the feeling of success. If you can really appreciate what you have right now, you open the door for the things you really desire. I think as tough as life can be sometimes, we need to focus on what's good about the situation because that will help us move forward.

If you focus on how badly done by you are, or how unfair this thing or that thing is, it keeps you stuck in the situation. You only give your mind negativity to focus on. If you can remain positive and be grateful, you focus your mind on giving you more to be grateful for.

Success is not limited to finances, even so we tend to think that way. I like your suggestion to concentrate on Lifestyle instead. Because I am sure that is what we ultimately want - the lifestyle that we attribute with successful people.
Doing what you love to do and getting paid for it. Travel. Spending quality time with family and friends.

Gratitude shows that you acknowledge your success, that you welcome it. So again spot on Sean, Gratitude shows that you are feeling success.

And I am very very grateful that I am part of the YOTA forum, as it shows me how to be even more successful :)

This is true, wealth doesn't guarentee lifestyle - many people that are wealthy can't afford the time to spend with their family or children - thats not rich in my books.

Hi Sean and Cherie, Good company does make all the difference to creating a nice lifestyle. I think I am learning to become more grateful each day. I do feel a change in myself for the better just by reading, learning and commenting on your articles. Aussie Rob should be grateful also, you saved his life! lifestyle is the buzz word for me so I'm off to pursue it some more, bye for now!
