Oh, I envy you for being such a great writer. I have never thought that I would dream of becoming one. I had managed to write some articles that I never thought I could . But you inspired me and I want to thank you for that. You and your wonderful books enlightened me. Thank you so much.

I agree that everyone has at least one story in them that others would find fascinating. As for why the more of the top stories are told by those with experience, I’ll speculate on a few reasons:
1) more material to work with, therefore the author is likely to have more interest events to use as source material;
2) communication – with experience comes wisdom and with that a greater understanding in what people are likely to find interesting;
3) Prolific story writing of the over 50s – writing is a skill which improves with use, and so long as the mind is still good, people can continue to write as much as they have hours in the day. Assuming it takes people a little while to hone their skills, and may not necessarily come to writing at an early age, there would possibly be many more books released by those over 50, than those under 50 (just a guess).
4) then there could be great stories that just take many years to actually get published.

I started a book when I was only 16 I got a page or two of the first chapter done, one day I will get back to it, at the moment I am setting myself on my road to untold wealth so the book will have to wait a little longer

Hi Sean,

I love the idea of writing a book of your life to leave it as a legacy for your children and grandchildren. I think it would be wonderful to be able to have your story passed from generation and generation. Imagine if each person added their own story. I would loved to have read stories from my grandmother, great grandfather. I think this is something we should all consider doing.

Also, I hope your Mum writes her book, Sean. I bet she is an amazing woman with lots of interesting stories to tell. Maybe, you could get your Mum to write a guest post for you, Sean.

Let's hope the magnanamous Mrs Rassmussen's dream manifests in a magnificent manuscript. {sorry I couldn't resist}.

You are of course right Sean. I also will write a book but not this month as I have a thousand reasons to keep writing on your blog.
