How To Subscribe To Comments

by Sean Rasmussen on March 13, 2010

A Fistful Of DollarsSince the Fistful of Dollars commenting competition started, I have had a few “How To” questions. I have addressed one already via video and will keep doing it in this fashion to help out my blog readers who may be beginners or perhaps not as “seasoned” with social media and blogs. Another query I have had via the Sean Rasmussen Talks Facebook page is this:

How Do I Subscribe To Comments?

How can you subscribe to comments via email? This means you will receive an email notification from SeanRasmussen.com every time there has been a reply/response to a thread you have subscribed to. I have explained it in this video below.

I will post more video’s to help you along with the $1,000 competition so you too can get hold of a Fistful Of Dollars.

Don’t forget to leave a message on SeanRasmussenTalks after you comment.

Best of luck!

OK, Thanks Sean for the heads up about subscribing. I’ll give it a whirl. Let’s see how many emails I get in my inbox.
Speaking of email, I have just been rediscovering a great little website called Posterous, it’s a nifty trick for posting messages to a blog straight from your email account.
For anyone that wants to join in, I am doing a little internet marketing experiment with Posterous, using it to promote a viral traffic-generator called Desktop Lightning. I got one new subscriber to DL overnight, let’s see if anyone can beat me. Check out the link.

i have always taken commenting for granted but now its interesting to see how vital this little simple process can be to add value to the blog / social network of the person commenting by putting in little information of your self which may lead right back to either your website or blog where ppl can check you out… already gotten my gravatar so im on my way to read you guys comments and also make few comments of my own..
thanx again sean i rank this post very helpful!!

Much appreciated Sean & fantastic to have the option of subscribing, but like many others here I will aim to avoid having *another* hundred emails in my main account every day! ;) I could use one of my gmails, but if I’m not keen to fish thru the spam & credit mails, I’d likely miss the updates I wanted to read anyway…

I actually find it easier to do a quick scan down a blog page (I just refresh my constantly-open Firefox tabs) to see any interesting comment updates, rather than opening individual emails checking for comments! :)
