I've always liked Mahatma Gandhi's saying: “Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

I try and live with this in mind by appreciating every little success I make in my daily life and take on as much new information I can that I feel will benefit me in the future. I'm constantly thinking of the successful things to come into my life too, like that new car, the dream house and the freedom I'll have when that time comes.

Hi Tom,

I'm trying really hard to apply what I'm learning from Sean and Napoleon Hill. Celebrating the success before I have it is my way of encouraging it to appear in my life. Positive feelings create positive actions and positive results. As Sean says, successful people know they will succeed prior to commencing a task. I am determined to be a successful person. :)

I like that concept, "The energy of possibility". Hmm. How do you measure it?

Seems like celebrating the now is a great way to help make the mindset shift to focus and accept the goals we set as being reality. This makes it much easier to work towards the goals, as they are something we are already comfortable with, rather than a daunting challenge.

Perhaps when people are told to save for a rainy day, to work hard so they can finally relax and enjoy a great lifestyle in retirement, really what this is doing is to telling people that they can’t celebrate now, they have to hold off until the future. But in doing so it may be resigning people to a future far less than they could have otherwise had, and preventing them from having the lifestyle they want today.

And I must say Jazz, given you are leading the competition at the moment and powering through the posts (205 at the moment), I respect your right to celebrate the $1,000 right now. Although I did notice that Renee is not too far behind (on 140) and Lina is rapidly gaining in the post count (on 118). Good luck to all who are in the running!

Hi Sean,

Wow! I've never thought of celebrating a success before I've achieved it. I always celebrate the small successes along the way but I've never tried this.

It sounds like a great idea because you're expressing gratitude and creating lots of positive energy around what you want. Like I said, I've not done this before.

But, I'm going to give it a try right now. Woohoo! I've won a thousand dollars!!!:)
