Okay, it is a little late, and I must be starting to get tired, as this thought just flashed through my mind while reading one of your other posts (no implication or connection inferred, trust me! *grin*)

I just realised I would never consider buying a NZ Toyota Hilux: because it’s all talk and full of bull! *boom tish*

On that note, I’m off to bed.

Hey Jill,

I can think of a couple of conclusions that could be drawn just from analising that cattle grid scene alone.

1) Unless you are willing step outside of your comfort zone and push through your limiting beliefs, even having the best tools to help you achieve your goal doesn’t necessarily ensure success;

2) While the most direct route could be the quickest way to your goal’s achievement the indirect way can really open your eyes.

Hi Sean,
Just as well the two bulls were not left to the imagination of, Gary Larson (The Far Side) He would have had them travelling to the sex shop to buy an inflatable cow.

The mental block over the cattle grid is obviously a problem steming from childhood.

Moral? Have fun I guess But it’s interesting that they get “stopped” by the cattle gate that wouldn’t be a problem for them because of the great tool they “acquired”. So, one motivation from that could be – when you have a great new tool make sure you don’t limit yourself with old beliefs

The ad is designed to get into rapport with young single men who work on farms. Typically these men are tough, fit, robust, healthy virile and despite this there are certain factors that keep them from their goal ie to get laid. The message is to break through all limitations (except one and that one can be got around in other ways – this would suggest that not having immediate cash on hand to buy a car is only a temporary obstacle) and achieve the goal. Of course all they need to complete this task is a Hi Lux, they have everything else. To sum up, the purpose is to motivate these men to the point where they believe they can have all they want so long as they also have the car.
