Fancy A Ride?

by Sean Rasmussen on July 4, 2008

The Kiwi’s would have to make the best commercials in the world. As their beer commercials wouldn’t quite pass the rating of this blog, I’ll stick to a Toyota Hilux add instead. You may remember the YouTube video recently about the Perceived Illusion, where 3 Kiwi’s are having a Spoon Race… Well, here’s a New Zealand Hilux advert. Aussie advertisers can learn a few tricks from the Kiwi’s. Enjoy!

Fancy A Ride?

Where’s the motivational message in this? I’ve got no idea! You tell me in the comments section. :D

Have a most outstanding day

Your rite Sean, certainly difficult finding the motivational message here. Certainly made the old fisherman laugh though.

I’m not sure. Is it the “Bugger” ad you’re referring to?
For those brave enough, there are 2 KIWI Tui Beer YouTube commercials hidden in the post.

Thats very funny, I remember when it came out. You can’t beat the Australian XXXX ads for a bit of raw Aussie humour though!

Hmmm. I am thinking that the ride being offered to the ladies might not actually involve the truck. I agree Sean that the NZ creative people seem to come up with the best stuff.

As for the motivation? hahahaha Sex sells baby!!!!!!

Hi Sean,

I think the moral of the story is that you need to decide what you want, take control and find a way to break out of your prison. Don’t let anything stand in your way.

Also, the kiwis make great ads.

Ha – cattle stop. Perhaps the message is that even successful and self motivated individuals can still have difficulty overcoming old thought patterns, even when they have the means to easily overcome them. Conditioning is a powerful thing.

Hi Sean,
It’s the best ad ever! I enjoy it so much.

There’s plenty of motivation and ingenuity in this ad in my opinion, sheep shagger!

This is our can do attitude coming out.
There’s a heap of them on Youtube. My favourite is the one with the Islanders slapping heads. Its gold.

By the way the Aussie beer ads need renaming. I believe we own just about all the Aussie breweries. It’s all part of our grand plan to dominate OZ.
First we emigrate.
Then we buy the breweries.
Then we invade with our bands.
Then the corporates come over. Michael Hill, The Warehouse (Oh sorry Sam’s Warehouse now. We decided to give it back), Lion Nathan, Fisher and Paykel. Better stop there or you will wonder if there is any Aussie stores left.

As you say Sean, the fast eat the slow

Fancy calling a bunch of sheep, sheep shaggers!

There’s the chip ad with the 3 Kiwi blokes on the couch slapping each other, which I know you like too Sean :)
