Hello Sean,

I still find it hard to believe that a politician is on twitter? Maybe his/her office are on twitter, with the help of Office staff?

What I have noticed with famous people, and with the likes of Politicians is that they are well known so they will straight away have followers. Do they say anythin worthwhile in their messages on twitter or facebook? Probably not. The Politicians also seem to join social media sites around election times – is that so they are more popular to attract more votes?

I thought this was a good post. Of course when you use the “Politicians” it is bound to upset some (majority) of the people. You can’t please everyone, I have come to the conclusion that all you can do in this life is be true to yourself.

Hi, have read the above comments with some interest. i like this post, Sean. As you say, our deeds shine through no matter what we say, and what we choose to tweet communicates to the world what we are doing, and reflects our focus of the moments.

And that is not counting the wonder of fairly instant ‘real-time’ communication.

I love John Cleese, and I agree with him that Monty Python would have fun with this topic.

All pollies would do well with twitter since they are all twits I know some people say don’t mock but I think you did well Sean. I see it more as tongue-in-cheek fun – I’ve seen far worse!! Besides pollies would do a heck of alot better with your help with social networking to improve their profiles & reach more people!

This world is bizarre when looking at it from a spaceship – and the best thing we can do is to have a laugh at the oddities. Especially at those who take themselves so seriously!!

I am starting to warm to Twitter too – so I think I want to learn more about how to utulise this tool.

Good call Tom! Although, do politicians really need the 5,000 friend limit on facebook? They’ll struggle to get a handful, wouldn’t they??? LOL, joking, joking… They’re so easy to pick on, just like lawyers…
