(Colin) I have just picked up Anthony Robbins Get the Edge, again…I have been quiet hopeless over the last 9mths with not taking action – but can you believe over the last 3 days I’ve made appointments and done research and hopefully come up with the brilliant ‘long term’ goal (which came to me like an epiphany) to (hopefully) keep me driven and motivated through the long cold months of hard work I will need to endeavour on to achieve it. You know what I’m talking about!
It’s so exhilerating I can’t seem to sleep for longer than 5-6hrs.
What made you want to start reading motivational/inspirational books? Anyone else care to join in and share?

I listen to Tony Robbins’ The Edge while I run. That one new habit has changed the entire way I start my whole day. By the way, many of us know the feeling of not being able to sleep after the breakthrough comes…
I started reading motivational books as a very young adult. All I can say is that I was fascinated by what made people achieve their dreams and what separated the brilliant from the rest. It was also my strong desire to strive to be the best person I could be. Hope that helps.

There are so many nights I lay awake planning my next day but sleep is so important to doing the tasks to the best of my ability. I just get so excited, so inspired and determined that I can’t bare the thought of losing 8-10 hours all at once for something like sleep. I’d love to be able to have all these magnificent inspiring books on cd to listen to in my sleep and be able to get a compilation that’ll pick up my spirits when I get overwhelmed. So many goals, so little time, too determined to realize my focus should only be on one task at a time.

New to all this! sounded too good to be true but here we are. As to Clint the clothes are great, the beard is – Well?? but the face is too kind!. Clint adopts that “mean” look when acting (he is acting isn’t he?) so I will only rate an 8.5.

Well, all I can say is…good on you for trying to help those less fortunate than you! I do not have the time to get involved in your competition, I work fulltime at a paid job and am also a mum of 4, two still at school, all living at home, so in a way still a fulltime mum too, if that’s possible! I’d love an extra $1000, I live from paycheck to paycheck supporting my family! What I would like even more, is a free guide from you as to how to be a better insurance sales person. Most months I meet the majority of my targets, I lack in Insurance! I am determined to top that too!

Now that I have had dinner, I feel even larger, but I am not going to let that prohibit my getting to the computer to write on this blog.
Mind you, after dinner the desk somehow seems closer than it was earlier. I wonder what I can do about that.
Dad used to say that the best exercise for losing weight was to sit at the dinner table and place your hands on the edge of the table and then straighten your arms and just take advantage of the space created and get up from the table.
I haven’t tried that one and don’t think i will. There must be a way that’s more fun.

I have just been playing through a couple of Beethoven sonatas and trying all the time to figure out how in the world I was going to make that relevant to this blog.
I haven’t come up with an answer except that he eventually lost his hearing, but kept on composing, or in our modern language kept on keeping on.
So I figure I will just keep on keeping on and write some more on your blog and tell you how very beautiful the Beethoven sonatas are and how I am sure he would love to have met you and written on your blog as well.

Wish you were here in Melbourne to share the wonderful bright sunny day, which of course is normal for us. Hopefully it will dry things out after last weekend’s indulgence of the rain and hail god.
I tried on my old cowboy outfit this morning thinking I might look like you/Clint and turn Melbourne on, but unfortunately one of the guns when off and I am back sitting down and wondering what went wrong.
I used to be the fastest drawer in the Ozarks, but obviously need practice in gun drawing as well as other things which I have ignored for the last few years.

It has been on my gmail for more than a fortnight now. I already have five friends there.
I feel that someone ought to warn Facebook that it really looks like Buzz is going to either be the buZZ of the age or the fiZZ.

I was just on Twitter. I am still trying to find out how to use it properly.
I certainly did the right thing early on, I followed you. I know that it must be a wonderful source of something or another, but the speed with which tweets come and go makes me dizzy. I am yet to learn how to really profit from it.
I tweet and put my articles and blogs up, but have the feeling that they probably disappear into the ether before anyone actually sees them.
Next life I am going to learn how to use Twitter properly and get rich and famous doing it. I will let you know the secret when I find it.

I just joined the Platinum Class Lottery for the ACT (Abused Child Trust) for Kids. I don’t expect ever to win such a lottery. My history would support this premise.
However, I do like to support such things as the Abused Child Trust and all the good work they do. It is little enough that I can do to help out this worthy and terrible cause.
Personally I cannot imagine abusing a child in any way, but we all know that it happens all the time and this is just a little thing that I can do to help out.

I don’t know about you, but I do enjoy a nice red wine. Unfortunately my enjoyment has caused me to join a variety of wine clubs over the years. Even though I try to only subscribe quarterly to each of them it is amazing how many quarters there are in a year.
I have just been unpacking the last two dozen that have come and I can hardly wait until I finish putting them in the wine racks so I can sample one of them to make sure I haven’t been taken.
I also have some very nice blue cheese and crackers to go along with the red so that I don’t just drink, but also am eating at the same time so that I am taking care of my nourishment on a regular basis.
If you are in Melbourne and don’t wait too long I may have a bottle left that hasn’t gone off and will happily share it with you.

It is about dinner time so I thought I should drop you one more line to inform you that I have managed to organize my wine cellar this afternoon so that I can actually know what I have and even find it, should you come and need something to help wash down the cheese and crackers.
It was thrilling to discover that some of the wines I thought had finished are still represented with a bottle or two. On the other side some that I thought I still had have disappeared and naturally I have no idea where. I will search under the bed and such obvious places later tonight if I get thirsty.
Now that it is dinner time I am going to stop thinking about red wine and think about something to eat that will go with it.
Hope your dinner will be as satisfying as mine. If not, don’t despair. There is always supper to look forward to.

Our mutual trying for the $1000 is wonderful to observe over the last few days, BUT the more important thing is what we are learning as we compete for the money. Wonderful to see various forum members writing to each other as well as commenting.
There is a buzz or an degree of enthusiasm with the forum members and the commentators from outside which is like the buzz in a concert hall / stadium at the conclusion of an exciting concert, in any music genre. An adrenalin rush.
