Welcome to Chapter Nine of Mindset Mastery, based upon the timeless classic by Napoleon Hill: Think And Grow Rich.

Today we are looking at the 8th Step Towards Riches: Persistence. The sustained effort necessary to induce faith. Persistence is an essential factor in the process of transmuting desire into its monetary equivalent. The basis of persistence is the “Power Of Will”.

Hi Sean,

Thank-you for another great installment from Mindset Mastery. Persistence is the key to success. I think as night follows day, something will always get in the way of you achieving your goals.

I think it’s the universe’s way of seeing how badly you want something and only the worthy will succeed. All the sayings, ‘only the strong survive’; ‘fortune favours the brave’; ‘it doesn’t matter how many times you get knocked down, it’s how many times you get up that counts’ all mean the same thing.

I think the universe will test us time and time again. It is only by being persistent that we are able to prove ourselves worthy of our successes.

Very much agreed, Jazz. The brick walls are what make us strong, determined and test our persistence as well as keep those who don’t really want it away. If we know we want what’s beyond that obstacle it’s not an obstacle at all but a delay and strengthening device.

I agree, Persistence is the key.

If you really really want something, if you have the burning desire, you will walk all the way, create your own breaks and make stepping stones out of the obstacles.

Thanks for sharing that audio with us Sean – I just had the chance to catch up on the reading (flying to Tokyo gives you lots of quiet time), which I loved. And I will be persistent and finish it (again) during my trip :)

Thanks for your latest Napoleon Hill audio on Persistence.

Persistence is probably the number one thing that stands in many people way of achieving success. It is rare to not have any obstacles or setbacks while trying to achieve anything worth while, and having the desire & persistence to push past obstacles or finding another way to achieve success is usually what separates success and failure.

G’day Sean,
Many thanks for this most important chapter of TAGR. As the author says ” most people are willing to give up their aims at the first sign of opposition ”

The combining of willpower and persistence are a major factor in the success of many famous enterpreneurs. That’s where most of the active forum members are heading with what seems to me ABSOLUTE PERSISTENCE. HEAD DOWN AND CRASH THROUGH THE BARRIERS WITH PERSISTENCE is the answer.
Cheers
Harry
