Hi Sean,

Like Renee and Cemil, I was okay at art but I’m a long way from being one of the greats. I like to draw when I have the time but I’ve never thought of drawing my goals. It’s a really interesting thought.

I’ve always found pictures of the things that I desire and put them on my wall. Or, I do things to help me get in the mood. For instance, I have a goal to visit France so I’m learning French and I go to eat at a French restaurant. It helps me to cement my goal in my subconscious and reinforce continually that it will happen.

Like I said though, it never actually occurred to me to draw or paint pictures of my goals. I think it would really help cement my goals in my mind. I’ll be giving this a go.

Thats so funny Lina – I had no idea that Sean was an ACDC fan! I would have thought someone would have brought that up before now…and I wouldn’t be surprised either if he ended up ranking for ACDC either!

I am actually a Scientist so I was a geek long before I became involved with internet marketing or SEO – but proud of it never the less. I am passing on my geekiness to my son aparently – they have a dress up day at school next week and he wants to dress up as a MAD scientist.

I was there for this one and I remember thinking that there was no way you would be able to outrank that .gov site in under 24 hours. I remember I had to drive back up the coast so I couldn’t hang around for drinks afterwards unfortunately but I learnt so much. Thank you.

What I love most about this part of Napoleon Hill’s story?
“I must confess that I had not the slightest idea how this affliction could ever become an asset. However, I continued my practice of wrapping that philosophy in bedtime stories”

That is a brilliant example that you don’t have to know the “how” but the “what” (you want) and “why”. Just because I can’t see the way at the moment doesn’t mean that there is none, otherwise I would have to know everything – which I don’t.

But I think this is also the hard part, trusting your desire that the “how” will revile itself. That’s what we need to give our kids – that unwaivering trust in themselves.
