A tribute to Napoleon Hill - by Sean Rasmussen

This is the intro to the Mindset Mastery eBook. I wrote it as a tribute to one of the foremost inspirations for thousands of self improvement and motivational coaches across the globe.

A tribute to Napoleon Hill - by Sean Rasmussen

Sean RasmussenThe year 2000 was a big year for me. My second son was born, I was constantly working away from home to “make a living” and I was asking a lot of questions about life. “Is this as good as it gets?” I asked myself. My family finances were going backwards and the harder I worked, it seemed, the bigger the financial hole seemed to get.

I would be away from home, at work, for 6 weeks at a time and have 1 week off. I missed my son’s first words, his first steps and didn’t give him the opportunity to call me “Dad” when he was ready for it. On my one week off from work, I’d lap it all up and my heart was torn to bits every time I had to leave again for work. I called work a “Paid Prison Sentence” and vowed to make some drastic changes. Something had to change for me to experience change. I gave myself no option.

When my workmates went to the pub or a concert or anything social after work, I was in my little caravan reading books; Self-help books. 2000 was the catalyst year for my Mindset Mastery to start kicking in. I discovered Robert Kiyosaki, Donald Trump, Anthony Robbins and many more inspiring authors but foremost I found Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill.

My mind went into overdrive. I had moments of “truth” come to me. It’s something I cannot describe. You will have to experience it yourself. I genuinely hope you discover it and reading this book will help you. The strategies suggested by Mr. Hill have been applied. With a blind faith in my own ability along with further “Financial Education”, I have experienced results I previously only dared to dream about.

I am now an active supporter of many charities, many of which would not benefit from me hadn’t I read Napoleon Hill’s book, Think and Grow Rich. The applied “mindset changes” and “calls to action” that I initiated have made an incredible impact on my personal life, family life, business associates and various charities.

I have a personal short term goal of donating $10,000 per month to charity. When I set this target, I had no idea of “how”, I just knew “what” the desired result was.

If you in any way find empowerment in this book and genuinely believe your lifestyle can and will improve from the ideas herein, please consider supporting a charity of your own choice with a portion of the increased financial rewards that you enjoy from these ideas. Napoleon Hill devoted years of his life to benefit mankind in such a way, even he possibly didn’t imagine the magnitude of it. His desired outcome was known to him. He had the passion and a burning desire to achieve an outcome that will be an asset for mankind over many years to come.

Napoleon Hill, I salute you!

Mindset Mastery 2 - Who Was Napoleon Hill?

Mindset Mastery EBookKnowing the background of an accomplished empowerment and wealth creation teacher like Napoleon Hill lends his teachings a high dose of credibility. It appears to be a notable fact that many, if not most, inspiring self improvement authors started life with some sort of hardship. Rarely do we see someone born with abundance of worldly possessions and material wealth become a highly inspiring and well known motivational author.

Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill was born in the late 1800’s (1883-1970) and lived a long and successful life during which he proved that mastering your mind does certainly lead to success and wealth. Mr. Hill is another prime example of a man born into a modest family, who came to be famous beyond his own lifetime, and ultimately a contemporary of great wealthy and powerful men like Andrew Carnegie, Thomas Edison, and President Franklin Roosevelt.

Napoleon Hill started life poor. He was born in a two-room cabin in rural Virginia. His mother died when he was a boy. Hill began writing at the tender age of 13 for a mountain newspaper and worked his way to success, fame, and prosperity from there. His early career as a newspaper reporter put him in contact with the famed steel magnate Andrew Carnegie, who prompted Hill to study the lives of successful and wealthy men to find the secret to their success, so that he could share it with others.

Think and Grow Rich

This was the impetus behind Think and Grow Rich. The book is based on research gathered from interviews with more than 500 wealthy men; from those interviews, Hill gleaned 13 principles shared by all rich men and women, principles he outlines in order to teach readers the secret to wealth creation. The book went on to become Hill’s best known work, and is valued here at Universal Wealth Creation as one of the most useful resources for people seeking to master the keys to wealth creation, and live better by doing so.

I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

Anzac Day Legend

Today is the 25th April 2008. On the 25th April 1915, the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in Turkey during the “Great War”. The plan was to capture Constantinople and knock Turkey out of the war. The outcome was somewhat different with lots of casualties on both sides. One year later, this day became known as Anzac Day.

In MemoryThis picture is from our Canadian friends and I’d like to share it with you in the spirit of Anzac Day. Spare a thought for those soldiers that either volunteered or were forced into wars and conflicts throughout the world. Some had to fight to defend their countries. Others were sent off to invade countries they didn’t even want to be in. Spare a minute for their families, friends and close ones who suffered along with them.

Every Soul Matters

Take motivation from their sacrifice, regardless of what side they were on. Australia, Germany, England, Turkey, Japan, USA, Iraq, it matters not. Every soul that passed on during any conflict, was a soul belonging to a father, mother, son or daughter. Lives, sacrificed for causes of politicians that ensured their own sons stayed at home. The common man, like a soldier ant, carries the courage of a nation on his shoulders.

I honor those who made the sacrifice, those who carry the memories and likewise, those from both sides. To be forced to kill another person, made legal by a stroke of a politicians pen, is a horrible burdon to lay on any man or woman’s conscience.

Remember the suffering that went on back then and remember the suffering that we are causing right now around the world. 50 Million people were killed during the Second World War. Bombs were (and are) dropped in civilian areas and the souls count as collateral damage to another country that doesn’t really care. War is a horrible concept and the profit makers of this enterprise should hang their heads in shame.

Lest We Forget

Today is about remembering the common people that did what they were told to do. Far too many made the ultimate sacrifice. Bless their souls.

Lest we forget

Mindset Mastery 1 - A Tribute To Napoleon Hill

Mindset Mastery eBookTo reward the readers of Mindset Mastery, I have put together an initial 30 part series about the book. I will run through the eBook, week by week, and discuss the entirety of the classic writings of the legendary Napoleon Hill. Years of research was put into the original version by Napoleon Hill and this book is considered one of the original classic self improvement books written.

Mindset Mastery

Mindset Mastery is an updated and modernized version of the Napoleon Hill empowerment and wealth creation classic Think and Grow Rich. It is important for me that you appreciate the modernization of this classic. I have at no time attempted to detract from Napoleon Hill’s original message and have put in great efforts to keep everything relevant. You will find my tribute to Napoleon Hill in the intro of the Mindset Mastery eBook.

Create Wealth And Live Better

If you have downloaded your copy this book on the Sean Rasmussen Blog or at Universal Wealth Creation you will see that the very fundamental basis for this book is this: setting the right frame of mind in order to create wealth and live better. It’s a concept that seems so simple, yet so elusive, to so many of us; until, that is, we stumble into that day when we decide we’ve simply had enough of the struggle, stress, and strife of this modern age, and we resolve to do something about it.

In fact, there is simplicity to living well and creating wealth for your own. You do not need to be a Harvard or Cambridge educated doctor—you don’t even need to be a college graduate. Wealth is there for the building and taking for all who achieve the right mastery of their mindset. That is exactly what this book was written to illustrate, and that is the basis Universal Wealth Creation and the 21st Century Academy of Jamie McIntyre were built upon.

Learn From Napoleon Hill

For many of us, all we need is a little direction, someone to help us on our way. That is what my websites and blogs are here for, and this book is just one of the ways I have devised to help you reach your wealthy goals. I hope that you will take the time to download Mindset Mastery; read it through, and follow along with me here as we walk through this great wealth-building classic together, and learn from Napoleon Hill what he learned from some of the greatest and wealthiest men of all time.

I will see you back here Monday and Thursday every week for the continuation of the Mindset Mastery series.

Turning Goals Into Winners

Stay motivated towards your goals with a friendIn the field of mindset and self development, there is great power in numbers. When you have someone else to team up with for your goals, you’re not only going to have somebody to turn to when your own motivation is flagging, but you will also have someone to keep up with and someone to inspire when they begin to falter.

Team up for motivational success

Someone holding you responsible for your goalsChoosing a partner to share your goals to success is a bit of a tricky process. You need to pick someone with a similar goal to yourself as this will help the both of you help each other in similar ways. For example, you don’t want to partner up with someone who wants to lose ten pounds if you’re trying to lose fifty. When they reach their goal, they might not want to keep going until you reach yours. On the other hand, if you have a friend that wants to lose 20 pounds and you need to lose 30, this might be a more reasonable match up. The weightloss analogy applies to any other scenario. Your motivation may be towards money, lifestyle, travel, charity, self improvement, etc…

Are you committed?

You also need to find someone who’s committed to helping you – and you need to be committed to helping them. You can’t simply enable each other to slack on your individual goals. It can help if you draw up a sort of contract for your partnership to help you both see what’s expected of the other as you move along in your relationship. Sign it and date it and then both people can keep copies, referencing them when the other person doesn’t do everything they agreed to do.

Holding you responsible

Staying in touch for your motivation to be on trackA partner is someone that you should be meeting with several times a week – either in person or on email or phone. The constant communication will hold you responsible on the progress you are making, while also giving yourself an extra boost of energy when you might be having troubles with something you are doing. Regular communication is the key, but only if it’s positive and not just complaining about what you are doing.

Some grumbling is to be expected, but if the other is grumbling, you should be helping them move into a more positive mindset.

Have a most outstanding day
