Dreaming - The Cornerstone Of Success
Every single invention this world has ever seen, started as a dream. If it wasn’t a dream, it was probably a thought spawned from a dream. So why do so many people treat dreamers like they are so different. Sure they are different but that is a good thing. Parents and the education system discourage our children from dreaming by saying things like:
“Stop Dreaming”
“He’s a Day-dreamer. He won’t amount to much”
“You want what? You’re dreaming!“
Dreaming Is The Cornerstone Of Success
Isn’t it funny that we try to stem the flow of success in children at such an early age? Because that is exactly what it is; Success. Dreaming is the cornerstone of creativity and success. How else would you create something totally new, that has never before existed or been possible, that is science fiction now and a part of the future? Children are born with a natural abundance of creativity that most adults lose during their path of conforming into society.
Imagine you have a big idea in your head – perhaps to become a firefighter or to finish college (finally), but you find yourself sabotaging yourself again and again. You make excuses not to research these goals or you simply don’t actively pursue them, even though you long to make them come true. In these situations, you need to ask yourself where your dream is coming from and why you’ve dreamt it in the first place
From the time we are young, we are able to dream about things that are greater than ourselves. Whether it’s material things or it’s experiences, we hold these ideas in our heads. They often come from a longing to make up for something in our lives – for example, if we want to be a doctor, it might be because we’ve seen someone become very ill or we want to follow in the footsteps of our parents or friends.
Dreams can come from:
• Friends
• Family
• Religion
• Media
• Your talents
By discovering the root cause that has spurned you onto certain dreams, you can begin to motivate yourself to actually realize these dreams – even if it seems like they’re far out of reach.
The Image Of Abundant Creativity
Think of a dream for a moment. Maybe one that you had recently. Try to hold this image in your head as a reminder whenever you begin to make excuses or put things off. Or you might want to picture yourself in the dream situation. Think about all of your senses and what it will be like to be a part of your dream. Harness the adundance of creativity that lies within you.
Your dream comes from you and uncovering the “why” will help you get started. Though you might not be living your dream tomorrow, you will start living in the possibility of your dream right now.
Have a most outstanding day
