Mindset Mastery 148 – Fertile Fields

One way to make headway and build wealth is to find the fields and areas that lack leadership and fill the void. In true Napoleon Hill form, our updated version of Think and Grow Rich has addressed this topic as well.

Some Fertile Fields In Which “New Leadership” Will Be Required

Before leaving this chapter, your attention is called to a few of the fertile fields in which there has been a decline of leadership, and in which the new skilled leaders can find an abundance of opportunity.

First. The field of politics seems always to have a demand for new leaders with unique ideas. Too many politicians today focus on lawmaking instead of reform, and end up only treading water, piling up new laws and legislation on top the old, rather than remove and reform what is no longer working. Wasted time, money, and ineffective programs are the result.

Second. The world of investing is ever-changing in this new age as well; people who have the money are looking for new, better, more efficient ways to make their money work for them, and those who wish to create wealth are looking for ways to do the same. Leaders who can work to reform the investment industry and create new opportunities for investment have a tremendous opportunity before them.

Third. The technology sector is calling for new leaders. The new, technology-driven world calls for new, technology-driven leadership. This brings into the equation a new set of rules and skills, much of which has yet to be written. Those who can show that they are able to embrace, utilize, and lead effectively in partnership with the technologies of today (and tomorrow) will not lack in opportunity. Furthermore, those who can teach others to leads under the new technological system, and those who can lead remote teams across the world will also find a comfortable place to harvest opportunity.

More Opportunities For Skilled Leaders

There is more to this list, but a bit much for one blog post. Come back on Monday and we’ll complete the list. For the time being, consider Napoleon Hill’s list and also consider what you might add to it, where your personal opportunities may lie. And if you really can’t wait until Monday for the rest, feel free to download your free copy of Mindset Mastery now 😉

  1. Hi Sean, Thank you for the free Mindset Mastery download. Declining of leadership areas – definitely a decline in * political leadership (example is unpopular laws being made) * breakdown of essential services (hospital, infrastructure) * there is a total breakdown of community and of community values, just to name a few…………

    • I guess we can’t wait for the “leaders” to give us the community spirit and values back, we have to built this up again from the bottom. If each of us makes sure the values are there they will find their way back into all levels of society, even into politics.

        Hi Jill and Renee,

I agree that some things need to be changed. I think we need to start with our own corners of the world and maybe our influence will spread. I mean look at how many of us have downloaded The Secret Law of Attraction and are using it in our lives. We’re influencing the people around us and I’m sure there’s a flow-on effect. I’m sure that we will make everything right again. 🙂

  2. True leaders are few and far between which is why we should nurture all our young people who show leadership promise. It’s so special to come across one.

  3. politicians – are lacking – sorry that is one job I would never put my hand up for!!
Investments – Yep I love Real Estate so this year it will be where I am focusing my attention on , real estate investments to rent out/ renovate and sell/increase equity. Its right up my tree 🙂
technology – Yep…love computers, addicted to the internet so could even put my hand up for that one.
So good to see that there is more opportunities at this present time, and for the present furture to expand our horizon with different fields…..its great for Mothers that are looking at re-entering the work force, or to update their skills that they had previous to children.
    Good food for thought.

    Hi Sean,

It’s really interesting that Hill chose some areas that still today, we are lacking in leaders. There may be more opportunities for skilled leaders but I think we need to develop our talents in this area. I think very few of us are born as natural leaders and even those who are, still need to work at it.

  5. Lots of really interesting fields with endless opportunities. Not sure if I will turn into a leader in any of them, but there are a few where I will be looking for a leader and follow suit 🙂

  6. I’d love to run for a political office, develop my own platform and base it on the art of being positive. The dreams I have, the goals I envision, the 24 hour day – they don’t all balance. I know I’m making excuses and shouldn’t be but when we find our passion it’s tempting to keep looking knowing a difference can be made but I barely find time to do the things I already love doing.

I wish someone would run in Canada that supports even some of the things I stand for. I could go on about how horribly structured our political system is but I won’t 🙂

  7. Hi Sean

In order to want to create leaders with high values, determination, a great sense of justice, strong, truthful, compassionate, equality mindedness, willing to break through new barriers, positive reformists, we need to develop those qualities in our own selves.

What we want others to be we need to become ourselves.

    • Hi Elly,

This is kind of like be the change you want to see in the world. Whatever we’re putting out into the world is what we’ll get back. I think if we work on becoming the best leaders we can be; we’ll attract other leaders to us with similar qualities. 🙂
